SALAH IBN BADIYA @ LEY ME TELL YOU UNCLE YOU ARE IN THE HEART OF ALL SOMALI PEOPLE. WHEN EVER I HEAR YOUR VOICE YOU REMAIN ME MY BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY (SOMALIA). YOU ALWAYS ON THE RADIO MOGADISHU. MAY ALLAH BLESS YOU FOREVER
I'm really happy to listen to a sudanese song, i remember when I was a child i used to listen to wady elnil broadcast, the channel of The Nile Vally Broadcast from cairo... sudanese have a beautiful accent , we love in it Egypt. May Allah bless Sudan and Egypt

If my memory serves me, I believe few Sudanese singers performed in Mogadishu in
early 60's for cultural exchange included Mohamed Wardi and maybe Salah Ibn Badiya. After their respective performance in the capital, radio Mogadsihu frequently played their songs especially this one. Thus both singers became very popular in Somalia. Indeed, as a young boy I had memorized the lyrics of this song that much I can recall.
@momuqtar it was early seventies when the sudenese orchestera with thier famous singers like sayid khaliifa and saalah ibn badiya came to somalia and they did an outstanding show of music whidh i remember well my brother took me to see that night and i agree all our generation of that time we mesmorized the whole songs radio mogadisho was playing sometimes we loved sudenese songs
