The Terminal Commands in Mac is almost the same as Linux , and BSD. I have a HP/PC and I'm running Windows 7 , Linux Mint, PC-BSD , and Mac OSX Lion. Try this command
1. cd /Applications
2. ls > Myapps.txt
Now look in your Applications folder , and you will see a text file open it , and read what it says. If you really want to learn more about Mac commands you should study Linux , and BSD.
This is another command Mac, Linux, BSD
1. banner -w 60 weeklytech123
2. cd Desktop
3. banner -w 60 weeklytech123 > Banner.txt
