Armor for Sleep isnt together anymore. They disbanded about a year ago. Can't remember why but they didn't tour for over a year and finally they decided to call it quits. Ben, the lead singer is now doing his own thing with a band called God Loves a Challenge.

Well playing isn't everything. I love bands like Van Halen, Scorpions, Ratt, Judas Priest (ignore my spelling mistakes)

This is a good band for the fact of the lyrics and song writing.

Most metal or rock bands have amazing musicians but crappy lyrics. Look at Zakk Wylde from Black Label Society.

And for people who mock young guitarist by saying they sound like grade school kids they won't get any better if they don't keep playing. I'd like to see you pick up a guitar without lessons and play.

I personally think it was the advent of electronic keyboards, etc. While all that was running it's course, great guitar seems to have gone with it. One of the last truly tasty and exceptional guitarists was Van Halen. His solo on Jackson's Thriller album is a good example of stellar playing. After that, the top notch guitarists seem to either fade away, retire, or move over to Country Music.

It would take a novel, pal. But let's just take this "song" as a microcosm. A quality song has arrangement, instumentation, musicianship (incl. vocal), melody, dynamics, and lyrics.

The arrangment is this POS sucks as do the vocals. The instrumentation / accompanyment is amateurish at best and there are virtually NO dynamics. The lyrical creativity is fair to middling and the ONLY half decent aspect.

Do yourself a favor and try listening to some Beatles, Yes, etc and lose the (C)rap.
