Wow, that was really good. I'm inspired now, well, I would like to say that but I'm only in 8th grade and I am not the best at writing music. I have finale notepad, not garageband. I'm having a little trouble thinking of a melody, I'm better at listening to songs that have already been created and duplicating them by ear. But anyway, that is an amazing melody. Really good work.

The first two notes of the melody are the same, but it deviates. I know exactly what you mean though, I thought about that after writing it.

The music in Elf has those same first notes too, when I heard it I instantly thought it was a polar express ripoff.

It's a fairly simple song so it shouldn't be to difficult to figure out. It just alternates between D major and F# minor.

But the point is that this song, and I don't usually like soft songs like this, is great! Later on when you get the... er, at about 1:30. That is when I really began to like it. :-D
