why didn't they rebuild this dam with cement? no cement dam has ever collapsed in the usa. i have been to the bottom of this dam. it should be rebuilt.

@The096757 The reason the dam failed was that the rock under that side of the dam was fractured far more than the engineers realized. Without digging millions of cubic meters of rock out on that side of the canyon, there is no way even a concrete dam could be built there safely.

@mintvagoo You're referring to Payne's later life work, Age of Reason, which I have documented letters of the founding fathers scolding Payne for writing that junk. The reason his Common Sense article was so well accepted was because he originally argued from the Bible (Samuel 8).

I'd advise reading all the documents first before making comments. (See my video series "Overview of Return to Common Sense" for a live example of atheists/humanists lying on purpose to get others to believe them)

it is the liberals who do not want any dams built who are blowing up current dams. there is no cleaner souce of electricity but indians think their 15th century ancestors live in fish so they do not want dams built.

this should have been rebuilt for recreation and irrigation.
