ive always believed in god, use to go to church every sunday when i was little but now i really dont but when i get older i will go back. ive been thinking about life alot latley so i spent the whole day watching videos on youtube about life, about god jesus. after all of this i went downstairs in my library and picked up the bible and started to read. like i said i already believed in god but i really want to understand him i want to really get to know him. all of this just hit me today dk why

It took 8 years since and i can tell... that was the best decisions i could EVER take in my whole life. Now as your heart was searched by Him do not hesitate to come to Him. Find a church, study the Bible. I use the Inductive Method of studying the Bible, it is an amazing way to discover His truth by your self. Be blessed!

After 13 years or so I am finally finding god again. In just two short days my life has changed exponentially. I used to just saw the lords prayer every night before bed when I was little. Now I have no idea what Im going to say when I bow my head at night. The words just flow out perfectly.

Fact: thousands of people report being in a dark tunnel moving towards a bright warm light, while they are in a coma, there they see some entity that guides them, etc...
Some of them report seeing above themselves and supposedly floating and hearing what others in other rooms say...

Basing on facts cannot admit any type of information manipulation (like what church did to the bible), with more people reporting the same, credibility grows. What we all want to know is the truth, don't we? Science is manipulated too, you know.
See, bible is not a fact, it's just a book filled with unverifiable information, and psichologiacal techniques to suck people into believing it and obeying the church.

Those of you trying to blur the lines between religion and science are working for the enemy. Christianity does not refute scientific facts, like the laws of thermodynamics, gravity, etc... Science hasn't disproven the existence of God, so to say that God doesn't exist is a statement that can only be made by someone who knows everything, or someone with faith in atheism.
@nunusgrandus Relgion would never survive a scientific process, that is why it is seperate from science. I have never once said religion is perfect, in fact I was merely mentioning to another that neither is science. Philosophy and religion has many holes, which is why we have to think o it, and instead of just saying "there is no religion" try thinlking of both as deep as you can. It's amazing the debate that rages on about God. Even a relaxing video talking about God can anger the heart of cynics so easily. It's quite revealing to see how much the issue of God or of Jesus Christ can just engage the deepest elements of the human soul. Praise God! What a force! I admire your faith. I have little to no faith in any god. I don't know what to believe. I thought the Theory of Evolution was actually beautiful. That life can just develop itself out of small things and change and grow according to the environment. A great part of my family is religious and they have good arguments too. I'm just in a phase where I don't know what to believe or what I want to believe.

@HeadSm4ck What grew my faith was just reading the Bible. It is not hard to follow if you ask God for some help.. he will reveal his truth to you. I started with Proverbs, and simultaneously read the book of Romans, chapters 4 to eight, then ch 12.. if you spend 5 to 8 minutes a day just stying 2-3 of the couplets in proverbs... I will almost guarantee that you will notice positive changes in your thinking within 5-6 weeks

It is a positive infleunce to think every day that Jesus died on the cross for you to have your sins accepted because he loved you that much. The "sins" concept is an abomination. We are divine in our nature, not sinners. It was created to lower us and feel guilty which is a very destructive way for a soul. You know how many other prophets were killed promoting an idea? Not just jesus. To think every day that he died - death again. The best thing to do is not lower yourself in prayer, but to use his teachings in your life, and make it great.

We are all divine because in nature as we are small particles of the source (god), created to learn progress and make it(the source) more perfect. No judgement, no condemning.

Think of it this way, how could you have a place of "all-knowing and pure love" if people with "negative" intentions and cruelity were there? This is why heaven and hell are seperate places. Plus, to believe that there is no hell afterlife, and that human shouldn't be sinned is to believe there is no consequences to wrongful actions.

You've no proof of god, except your own mind. So in fact you could proove everything with it. That you don't need proofs for god is the justification of believers.
They created the unprovable god by their own - Believers don't have to justify their belief, because they say, they don't have to justify.
That's not objective, that's not fair, that's not scientifical. And the Belief has no proof for being no normal science.

People buy into others' beliefs by:
-how certain the other person is
-how many other people buy into it (social proof)

I admire your faith. I have little to no faith in any god. I don't know what to believe. I thought the Theory of Evolution was actually beautiful. That life can just develop itself out of small things and change and grow according to the environment. A great part of my family is religious and they have good arguments too. @HeadSm4ck What grew my faith was just reading the Bible. It is not hard to follow if you ask God for some help.. he will reveal his truth to you. I started with Proverbs, and simultaneously read the book of Romans, chapters 4 to eight, then ch 12.. if you spend 5 to 8 minutes a day just stying 2-3 of the couplets in proverbs... I will almost guarantee that you will notice positive changes in your thinking within 5-6 weeks

There is scientific proof that confirms He is real, if you feel that is what you need to believe it. I believe it because, He has shown me His proof of being real too many times not to believe in Him. Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship with God. You see something out of common and you believe is is a miracle, thus, god.
It's only because there is no other explanation avalable.
People always put above them and fear what they don't understand. A human brain's potential has no limits and what it can do at its maximum is far to be reached.
So untill you will be able to explain it in details, don't assume it is god, this is not scientific proof.

I got a serious question. Why is the cross considered such a holy symbol just because Jesus died on it, when the long history of the cross repesented a old traditional method of execution for hundreds of thounsands of criminals? Remember, according to the scripture, two criminals were hung on the cross next to jesus. Is the cross a dark holy symbol or totally misleading? Also, why did the ku klux klan burn the cross. I need serious answers.

The cross is a symbol of death, and It is very harmful to the conscience to use a cross as a religious symbol, by focusing on the negative. It is just another psychic weapon of the corrupt religious system.

@skydragon4ever You're wrong. The cross isn't a symbol of death, it's a symbol of Jesus's sacrifice for every one's sins to be payed. It is a positive infleunce to think every day that Jesus died on the cross for you to have your sins accepted because he loved you that much. That is what Christians believe, if you're going to talk about a religion, research it first.

The "sins" concept is an abomination. We are divine in our nature, not sinners. It was created to lower us and feel guilty which is a very destructive way for a soul. You know how many other prophets were killed promoting an idea? Not just jesus. To think every day that he died - death again. The best thing to do is not lower yourself in prayer, but to use his teachings in your life, and make it great.

I don't know which aspect of sins in the bible you're talking about, but I can tell you, it's true that there's sin. Rather it be by religious belief, ideological belief, the actual definition or otherwhise. Sin has many definitions such as "To violate a religious or moral law" or "To commit an offense or violation." To break your own moral code is to sin.

Nothing in this life is perfect, and we may never achieve perfection (not in this life or in 1000 more lives), A child is pure, as he is clean, then he starts learning, and learns all his life. He doesnt learn to walk right away, he falls at first, but keeps trying, learning from his mistakes. We are all divine because in nature as we are small particles of the source (god), created to learn progress and make it(the source) more perfect. No judgement, no condemning.

What is part of god is only positive - love, joy, happiness, connectiveness, compassion
and so man created hell in his image and interpreted it on paper, thinking that in the spirit world its the same as on earth... Eeee! wrong! it's a place of allknowing and pure love. the living on earth is much more painful for the soul than dying (which is a liberation and a relief)

@skydragon4ever You are confusing things. Hell and Heaven are just two seperate places, one for evil, the other for good. Think of it this way, how could you have a place of "all-knowing and pure love" if people with "negative" intentions and cruelity were there? This is why heaven and hell are seperate places. Plus, to believe that there is no hell afterlife, and that human shouldn't be sinned is to believe there is no consequences to wrongful actions.
