Tara TV was a channel available on Sky and come Cable operators in the UK, most of it's output was from RTÉ including the News bulletins, but Tara ran into financial difficulties and couldn't afford to pay RTÉ for their Programmes, I think it ceased in Early 2002, but it maybe worth checking Wiki for that one.

I've watched a few episodes some years ago. It was very good. BTW, what was 'Tara'? I'm guessing it was some Irish themed channel.
