I think what you should be asking is if these newer games should now start being developed for the next playstation and xbox instead, because the ps3 and 360 are either holding back how far developers go with their games in terms of how good games can look and run, or else the ps3 and 360 get shit versions of newer games since theyre so damn old - like Skyrim and Battlefield 3.
Also, I don't care much about mods, but they are a great feature that console games will, Im betting, never ever have.
The consoles are really starting to show their age - it's like the PS3 and the 360 are the damn Wii compared to the PC now. Skyrim for example ran like shit on consoles with constant unloading textures, and framerates that would go so low that the game was unplayable. Skyrim on the PC is freaking beautiful, and runs great.
The PC doesn't just offer better visuals, it offers better framerates, less screen tearing (for the most part) - basically a better overall experience. PC controls are also better for the most part. Some games are better with a controller, but I have a 360 controller for my PC so problem solved there.
There are actually more steam users than xbox live players, so PC gaming isn't dying. A lot of it just has to do with whether or not you care about the exclusives. Diablo 3 is my holy grail.

PC's more expensive, you have to normally build them to get the ultimate experience, and they cost more. You don't have to update your PS3, or XBOX every year or two. They have staying power. They're around for 10 years before you need to get the new system. With PC's, you need to keep upgrading the internals, replacing hard drives, and blah... too expensive.
I really do love PC's over consoles. But the price, and consistency of having to spend more and more... I'm poor, I can't keep doing it.

PC gaming is not dead, we have plrenty of great games like TF2, Battlefield 3, Minecraft, The Witcher 1 and 2, plenty of indie games. There are also so many mods you can download for almost every game that add infinite possibilities and plenty more play time. PC's are also always upgrading so you don't have to wait until the next console comes out to boost your rig, you just have to spend a little at a time.

I agree with you guys 100%. I am new to pc gaming, I been playing the playstation sense it came out and it was difficult to switch to pc gaming. At first I tried to use a 360 controller and got owned. I finally broke down and got a gaming mouse and mechanical keyboard. It was worth it. It took a lot of time to figure everything out and im still learning, but if you stick with it and dont mind to spend the money it is an awesome gaming experience.

The perk besides spectacular graphics is a keyboard and mouse which is far more precise and realistic. the other reason you get a PC is that you can mod the games. And you can upgrade parts whenever you want.

Just throwing my two cents in there I began playing pc games after my ps3 burned out. And I didn't like the change from controller to keyboard in games like COD so I just use my ps3 controller online. And honestly they don't seem anymore good than anyone on consoles. Its just personal preference, iv topped the scoreboard with KDR's of 5 and above like anyone else on either platform people are just ridiculous about their platform high horses. All platforms are evenly matched imo.
@Aethan001 pc graphics are way better , you must be blind not to see it. aslong as you have a better graphics card, keyboard and mous is always gona be more accurate but if you dont like it then you can use a controller. for me its all about high end graphics in which the flippen frames dont lag and you can play in proper hd
And also Lames, PC gaming is not that bad; don't trynna scare people like that. PC gaming, if you practise you WILL get the grasp of the controls and the muscle memory will eventually pick up the normal scheme of controls very quickly if you have good reflexes. All you do is play singleplayer for a bit and then hop online with friends. Or if you don't have any online friends yet then avoid objective gametype and go for something that encourages lonewolfing. I promise you it isn't that bad.
Here's my take on it. Owning a PC is like owning a car. In order to keep your PC running you have to maintain and service it time to time. And honestly that's the fun. Why would you own a Lamborghini if you don't know what the hell is in the car that makes it run. That's why they call 'em enthusiasts. And yes, a LOT of people own consoles. why? because of it's efficiency, and that's ok. Becuz you know why, people who own consoles are diversified in their skills of playing games. Not with PC.

I agree with you guys 100%. I am new to pc gaming, I been playing the playstation sense it came out and it was difficult to switch to pc gaming. At first I tried to use a 360 controller and got owned. I finally broke down and got a gaming mouse and mechanical keyboard. It was worth it. It took a lot of time to figure everything out and im still learning, but if you stick with it and dont mind to spend the money it is an awesome gaming experience.

I also play Xbox a lot and know for a fact that Microsoft almost never comes down in prices on games or DLC. Also, PC does give you the better gaming experience because you can make the graphics as amazing as you want. Then there is the fact that you can hook up any wired controller to a wide range of pc games. Not to mention 1000s of mods on PC

Just throwing my two cents in there I began playing pc games after my ps3 burned out. And I didn't like the change from controller to keyboard in games like COD so I just use my ps3 controller online. And honestly they don't seem anymore good than anyone on consoles. PC gaming, if you practise you WILL get the grasp of the controls and the muscle memory will eventually pick up the normal scheme of controls very quickly if you have good reflexes. All you do is play singleplayer for a bit and then hop online with friends. Or if you don't have any online friends yet then avoid objective gametype and go for something that encourages lonewolfing. Here's my take on it. Owning a PC is like owning a car. In order to keep your PC running you have to maintain and service it time to time. And honestly that's the fun. Why would you own a Lamborghini if you don't know what the hell is in the car that makes it run. That's why they call 'em enthusiasts. And yes, a LOT of people own consoles. why? because of it's efficiency, and that's ok. Becuz you know why, people who own consoles are diversified in their skills of playing games. Not with PC.
