i have to say, honda shadows are some beautiful bikes. i have the opportunity to buy a used sabre 1100 from an individual, in practically new condition, with a little over 6,000 miles, for $3500. part of me is really, REALLY wanting to buy it. but, i don't know. it's been 20 years since i've even been on a bike.

That's a Memphis Shades Fats windshield. Those are expensive! I have one on my bike, it's cool you can order replacement plastic by itself so you can have whatever size and color you want.

@redneck500 not as much as you'd expect probably around 35 but with the jet kit and exhaust thats not just terrible, she runs pretty good

@redneck500 It all depends sometimes I get 50 mpg and some times I get 35. 50 mpg are on the high way at normal speeds 55-75 mph , when around town I do about 35 mpg

@rzys7789 yea you are right i have this same shadow Its a great bike but,. Its is what it says it is "A Cruiser" not a something I would try to be a speed demon on ..How would your Vmax fair vs, a M109?

Yes a cruiser is a "cruiser" campared to Vmax the Shadow is much more civilised in terms of gas capacity, behaves better that allows you to relax though riding at high speed. I never eat dust coz that's only what the Vmax rider thinks. We ride not to feed dust to people... sorry chrisolava

the choke was off... i think the carbs are jetted, i've been comparing my mpg to those on the forums and it looks like its jetted, and i haven't ridden any other shadow 1100s but i know when i turn the throttle it's got plenty of power not to mention it doesn't lose any power over 85 mph like i've heard from ppl with factory shadows i know its still pullin hard past 105 or so(thats the highest i've gotten it)... and it doesn't have an air cleaner on the side

Hey I've got the 05 in red. All things considered, it's pretty much the perfect bike. Very comfortable on the highway and equally as comfortable putting around town. This caught my eye though-not sure if you have the choke on or not, but with the 1100 never leave the choke on for more than 20 or so seconds. In this bike the choke can rob the engine of oil pressure if over used. Also, the air cleaner is under the seat for those who don't know.

hey i have a 01 spirit 1100. i doesnt have a air cleaner sticking ff the side of the engine like yours. any idea where the airfilter is

oh and the bars and pegs were on the bike when i got it... everything on it was, but i think the setup is around 300 if you go with cobra bars and kuryakyn pegs... but there's also moustache bars cheaper that i think actually look better, but they don't protect your legs if you lay it down

Good looking bike, Honda's done it right with the Shadow Spirit 1100, the black is sweet. Plan on getting me one soon hopefully.
