How true about the repairs, made my first "hop" lost control and now need new blades and flybar! Never mind I've got the bug and am now fitting new brushless outrunner motor and metal tail and rotor head. This is going to be a great outlet - cheers!
The stock radio is a bit limited with its programming features and not wonderful quality, I just didnt really trust it. Also the walkera brushless esc is quite unreliable because it only has a 1.5amp BEC and with 4 servos it had a tendency of periodic servo jitter. I replaced it with a jeti ESC/3 amp BEC.
The best upgrade was the aloy head and tail which is basically the one off the trex 450SE. That gratly improves performace and stability.
Nice vid. I've just bought a new 36 with a standard brushed motor - do you have any tips before I fly it? I have already fitted a training kit.

used the walkera Gyro because they are quite good, But the rest of the electrics have been upgraded. inc FUTABA RADIO. Lipo + brushless

That's one stable heli! Does changing the radio helps in stablising the heli as compared to the stock radio?
