Darkfall sucks. Worst game ever. It is nothing but the biggest grindfest ever. During the unending grindfest you will get ganked by people who have been playing for 2 years and have stats up near 100 when it will take months just to get a couple stats up to 50. If you want to spend months and months grinding at least 12 hours a day to become even slightly viable in pvp then sure, go play it. People wonder why the pop is so small, its cause noobs have no chance and never will.

Darkfall has to be the dumbest game I have ever played as far as PvP is concerned. It has nothing to do with skill or tactics. You pick the smallest race with a ridiculously broken hitbox - in other words, Alfar. You equip a greatsword or a polearm for your melee weapon - nothing else. They have the longest reach and the best damage. Then you spend hours leveling your skills instead of actually doing anything. It's just the same old min-maxing you see in every other game. Huge disappointment.

@WolfOfBloodAndBone depends on your skill lever and how weak the enemy is but i would have to say on a npc around 10 because they have crap for armor and cant block but other players can move around sharply and can block so if they dont c you about 20 shots full geared at 1-25 skill (just a guess)

@TheSmatez I like WoW and Darkfall because Darkfall you can kill anyone and theres is endless content while in wow you level, get geared, raid, your done..... and thats the fun and its over.
@HellsAngels0012 - DF's graphics at max are actually quite good. Nobody records at full graphics though because recording + playing the game at max graphics leads to serious lag.
I agree, Mortal Online's graphics are pretty good, but the combat - archery in particular - doesn't really look great.

@tonypeaches420 hold on one second let me explain. i said you cant jump in the air whils shooting a bow my reason is that your accuracy depends on your legs to keep you steady at full draw of the bow at stable base so you would not be able to keep the bow pulled back whils in mid air and yes my freind as you can see im an archer in real life not just in a game.

@MBFtrace arrows do not move as fast as bullets, they have travelling time and an arc from gravity. you can jump with your bowstring pulled because its a game and its more fun that way.
You can kill anyone, pretty much anywhere and loot everything they have equipped and in their inventory.. Every single item. Of course, this can happen to you. Best fantasy MMO ever.

Darkfall is not worth the amount you pay. The graphics aren't that good. All you do is chase people around and kill them. You get killed to the point of insanity. Whenever you hit a guy, its either "ah" or "aah" or "aaah". Theres no place for noobs. Listen, this game is not worth 15 dollars a month. I would rather have WoW for free on a private server, although I'm not saying Wow is any better. Until this becomes hackable and free, I'm not playing it. Monthley fees suck!
Darkfall is not a game for graphics whores, it's a game for us oldschool, hardcore PvPers. Mainly, ex UO players. Gameplay > Graphics. Darkfall has FFA PvP, and Full Loot. You can attack anyone, anywhere, anytime, kill them, and fully loot everything off their corpse, like in oldschool UO. There are no classes/levels, instead, you have stats/skills that gain by using them, not some exp monster kill system.
The main focus of Darkfall is PvP, not PvM. There are already hundreds of MMORPGs that focus on PvM, and have PvP as a side thing. Darkfall has Real Time Combat, like Oblivion does, which means every swing/shot/cast has to be manually aimed, in order to hit. If the graphic of your sword/arrow/spell connects with the opponent, it's a hit, no dice rolls. I've been PvPing in MMORPGs since UO Beta, nearly 13 years, and Darkfall by far has one of the most player skill intensive PvP systems i've seen.
Darkfall worth all the money i've ever payed for an MMO! stop trolling DF videos retard kid. and the only thing you said right is "Theres no place for noobs"! True, now alt + F4......

The graphics kinda suck. At, first, this looked awesome, but when I turned it to hd to see the full effect, it sucked. Plus, the game looks like it has an in your face pvp system. This game is not worth 15 dollars a month.
The person recording this isn't really good at PvP, form what i'm seeing here. She's mainly fighting undergeared newbs with a less developed char than hers, which they always attempt to run away, allowing her to get off +50% damage back shots. That's why she wins so many of the fights.
Had any of the people she was fighting focused more on fighting back then running away, they likely would've killed her. Sometimes in Darkfall, running away is the worst thing you can do, you just die faster from +50% Damage back shots.
As a newbie, nobody bothers to loot your armor, it isnt worth anything. It is easy to get good equipment when you are in a clan. People WILL loot your gold, arrows, spell reagents, and other useful things. Put everything in the bank you dont want to lose.
I am gonna try this game as soon as I can afford their expensive one month fee. Seriously if they gave me 2 months I would find it okay but the price for one month is really expensive. Anyway I hope to enjoy this game and I hope this will atleast be close to the brilliance that UO had. They show abit to much PVP for my taste, Myself is more of a PVE trading kind of fella. hope that is as brilliant as I've heard it would be =)

This game is for pvpers. Real pvpers with full corpse looting, no epic gear that soulbound either so you risk loosing everything. Persionally, I think it's the best game since UO. You have SO MUCH more freedom than you do in the wow type mmos. plus mounted combat. the game is very balanced
If you love pvp and i mean real world pvp (not BGs) then yes, you will like the game. But if you don't want to lose your stuff when you die and you love BGs then no you won't like it.

This game game doesnt look bland. it just this guy has his shadows turned off. This game has the best Shadows and lighting ive seen in a mmo. Biggest, seamless open world 3d environment. Took me 6 hours to get from one side of the map to the other, from my starting town to where my clan city was located. lol If anyone tho is looking for a great pvp focused mmo, try neosteam, in one day i was lvl 30 with good gear and pvp'ing for hours and hours.

i followed this game since 2006 and played the beta, then quitted because the melee seemed a lot "swing swing turn turn hoping to hit something" while the ranged fight was really awesome.

It's easy to see who can actually fight and who can not. If u are good and u are fighting a guy who does not know how to fight u can probably kill him almost without being hit at all.
Why does this game remind me of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion? I think it's the weird animations. Anyway, the 1st person style of play looks interesting. I'll probably try it out.
This game is fun for about one month, then it gets amazingly tiresome if you want new challenges. Perhaps it would evolve in a year or so, but I reckon it's gonna die before that because Mortal Online will be released and rule this game out.

LOL obviously if you did play you didnt know wtf you were doing. In 2 weeks starting as a noob no clan on NA 1 I had 75 lesser magic 40 some greater magic, 40s greatsword, could make my own chainmail and R1 greatswords. Your just a pussy is all.

Its sounds like you just suck, and declare games not worth it because youre bad at them. Sorry, but just because youre frustrated about not being able to beat people who are genuinely better at the game than you isnt a reason not to buy it.
But monthly fees do suck, sadly it seems they are the way of the future.

The graphics kinda suck. At, first, this looked awesome, but when I turned it to hd to see the full effect, it sucked. Plus, the game looks like it has an in your face pvp system. This game is not worth 15 dollars a month.

The person recording this isn't really good at PvP, form what i'm seeing here. She's mainly fighting undergeared newbs with a less developed char than hers, which they always attempt to run away, allowing her to get off +50% damage back shots. That's why she wins so many of the fights.

Had any of the people she was fighting focused more on fighting back then running away, they likely would've killed her. Sometimes in Darkfall, running away is the worst thing you can do, you just die faster from +50% Damage back shots.

As a newbie, nobody bothers to loot your armor, it isnt worth anything. It is easy to get good equipment when you are in a clan. People WILL loot your gold, arrows, spell reagents, and other useful things. Put everything in the bank you dont want to lose.

I am gonna try this game as soon as I can afford their expensive one month fee. Seriously if they gave me 2 months I would find it okay but the price for one month is really expensive. Anyway I hope to enjoy this game and I hope this will atleast be close to the brilliance that UO had. They show abit to much PVP for my taste, Myself is more of a PVE trading kind of fella. hope that is as brilliant as I've heard it would be =)

this game is awesome but like a doubled edged awesome. theres great times like this were you kill random people for no reason and get lootz. then theres times when you just wanna go walk aroudn or kill some shitty goblins and you get killed by someone killing random people. as long as your not a crybaby this game is the shit

This game is for pvpers. Real pvpers with full corpse looting, no epic gear that soulbound either so you risk loosing everything. Persionally, I think it's the best game since UO. You have SO MUCH more freedom than you do in the wow type mmos. plus mounted combat. the game is very balanced
If you love pvp and i mean real world pvp (not BGs) then yes, you will like the game. But if you don't want to lose your stuff when you die and you love BGs then no you won't like it.

Game looks really bland. The PVP looks really choppy. I definitely like the uniqueness of the game, but its just not my thing. Ill be waiting for Aion to come out. Ive been playing the beta and its awesome. It comes out Sept 22nd for anyone looking for a new MMO

This game game doesnt look bland. it just this guy has his shadows turned off. This game has the best Shadows and lighting ive seen in a mmo. Biggest, seamless open world 3d environment. Took me 6 hours to get from one side of the map to the other, from my starting town to where my clan city was located. lol If anyone tho is looking for a great pvp focused mmo, try neosteam, in one day i was lvl 30 with good gear and pvp'ing for hours and hours.

I've been looking around for a new MMO. I know this game has been out for a few months now, and due to the recent outcomes of newly realesed MMOs,(Age of Conan, Warhammer, Tabula Rasa, ect) I've been kind of reluctant on getting this. Some good feedback on this game would be awesome. Thank you

If you like PvP and non carebear shit. ie: Shadowbane Ultima Online ect you will love this game. I have played AoC WAR and they completely suck pvp wise compared. I recommend it highly. See ya on the NA servers, look up Sick Bastards if ya ever need a clan. ~Broken cyde

i personaly disagree, im not a huge fan of FPS but have became used to it since playing DFO
i think they should give the option of 1st and 3rd person for all types of play such as 3rd person magic and 3rd person range or if you like 1st person have 1st person meele and so on..imo this would help a few people. :D

i followed this game since 2006 and played the beta, then quitted because the melee seemed a lot "swing swing turn turn hoping to hit something" while the ranged fight was really awesome.
but seeing this movie clip melee seems a lot skill based, but maybe not too much anyway...am i wrong?

It's easy to see who can actually fight and who can not. If u are good and u are fighting a guy who does not know how to fight u can probably kill him almost without being hit at all.

Why does this game remind me of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion? I think it's the weird animations. Anyway, the 1st person style of play looks interesting. I'll probably try it out.

This game is fun for about one month, then it gets amazingly tiresome if you want new challenges. Perhaps it would evolve in a year or so, but I reckon it's gonna die before that because Mortal Online will be released and rule this game out.
