  • this is a spider!

  • I was thinking about owning either a pink toe or a emperor scorpion I saw two pink toes at petco one small and adult whats better.

  • @anitec19 Well it all depends on what you want. I can't give you much info on personal experience of an Emperor Scorpion because I have never owned one, but Pink toes are generally a good T to get. I've enjoyed everyone of the ones I've had the pleasure of owning. Pink toes are a little more active compared to some emperors I've seen, so if you want an active pet go with the Pink toe if not then the scorpion. Either way, their both great investments :)

  • @vman1223 if you go the emperor routPPPLLLLLEEEEEEAAAAASEEEE, dont put it on sand(like most pet shops do),they are native to west africa(jungle and rain forest) they like it on the dark side, humid, they like to dig into the substrate, and a nice wide shallow water bowl in wich they will get into, put in a half log and they will use it to dig a burrow into it and just sit at the entrance to it.and feed it just 2 crickets per weekmist once a week keep temps at around 80-85 degrees.it wuill be happy

  • i saw a pink toe at petco before and the toes were actually florescent hot pink it was pretty badass

  • D'awwwww. So cute, I really want one. :)

  • cute very cute. they look happy and trusting.

  • im going to start owning tarantulas and i cant decide between the mexican red knee, or the pink toe because their both awesome, im thinking maybe the mexcian red knee to start off and get a bit of experience for what it is like than get a pink toe? and also i might sound dumb but it doesnt bother me, how do you keep a high humidity for this tarantula?

  • @RipYourHead0ff You can keep the humidity high by using different types of substrate and just misting it a couple times a day. I have never owned a B. Smithi, but I have handled them countless times. Pink toes are a little more "jumpy" when startled but overall a Pink toe is a good choice. The redknee is a better choice if your a beginner because they aren't as jumpy and are really docile, plus their cool as well. If you have more questions feel free to message me. Thanks for watching

  • @RipYourHead0ff I had cocunut fibre as my bedding and it held moisture really well. I'd pour lots of hot water on one side of the tank (opposite side of where my pink toe had made its web) and it would slowly evaporate from the coconut bedding and keep the tank humid. I would also spray the tank sometimes, but not often as it wasn't always needed. Make sure you also use hot water though because they like 28-32 Celcius degrees.

  • i love turantulas

  • neither are aggressive trust me i got 1 rose hair now and owned 10...none has bit me...i got 3pink toes now...pink toes u can put in the same cage together...

  • are the pink toes as nice as the rose hairs???

  • @gforce8901 In my opinion, pinktoes, at least all the ones I have owned have been more docile than a rose hair ^^

  • @vman1223 i've heard that the female pinktoe are way more aggressive than the male and the rose hair. especially when she has a web.

  • @twitchisastar17 This is generally true. In my experience, males have been more docile, but they tended to be a bit more jumpy. As where the females, sure they'd show their fangs, but you can't "tame" a tarantula. Either way their my favorite tarantula and I would recommend them :)

  • @gforce8901

Yes Only Rose Hair Tarantulas Like Too Be Held, With Pink Too Like Too Run Away,

If Like The Pink Too Always Get It Ass a Baby Not A Adult So It Gets Use Too You, Rose Hair Tarantulas Remember Males Are Allays The Best Too Get, Females Bite Without Warning,

  • Lucky dude, i can't even go near my chilean rose, she will just try to bite me, everytime i go near her, the venom drips off her fangs!

  • omg ia want one 8D

  • i like the way it walks :D i might be getting one soon XD how big do pink toes get?

  • @punkeemonkey101

    About 6 inches

  • What a cute little thing!

  • it's...precious, in a strange sort of way (^w^)

  • i have one

  • very beautiful.

  • i got a pink toe today but when i held it it run up my arm very quickley then onto my back the it jumped onto my bed. its very fast so im a bit nervous to handle it now do u have any advise? great vid m8

  • @gayzombies

dont handle it.. they dislike it

  • htey r so fun arnt they i have one its is about 2 inchs and hey is sooooooo cute

  • next time u should just tap him from behind and let him crawl onto your hand

  • he's so cuuuuuuuuuuute!!!! *-* love it, love it so much. I hope some day i got my own pink toed

  • @buzzsaw1003 Sand is bad, it wont hold enough humidity. Use peat and vermiculite mix :)

  • lol 'better put down camera before it crawls up my sleeve':P wud love to get one of these.

  • can anyone tell me the song's name? well chossen as well ^^

  • i would tell you the name of the song but i dont know it :/ when i first uploaded this video i had no songs on my laptop so i used a song that youtube had for me to use when u upload videos its called audio swap. hope that helped some and thanks for veiwing :)

  • Ahh what a cutie.

  • He's so cute! I've had a chilean rose hair tarantula for 8 years and I've never heard of a "Pink Toe" before yesterday. Awesome, I've gotta get me one now.

  • wow dude hes a hansome spider :D

  • cute

  • ive bought two of these, the pet store told me that i can keep them together in a big tank.

they sit at each edge of the vivarium , they dont look pretty happy to share the same space..

did anybody has more than one living together had any problem?

  • well it all depends on the size of their enclosure but generally pink toes can live together with enough space to do their own thing..as for two you should be fine with a 20 gallon tank :)

    hope this helped

  • from my understanding you cant let any of them build big webs, they will see that as the other tarantulas territory and will end up killing each other over this.

  • no need to handle them as it stresses them, the are a hobby, not "pets"

  • r pink toes good for handling and also im thinking of getting a T and i was wondering if a pink toe would b a good 1 for nubs plz reply abd thanks in advance

  • if you have never had one before then start off with a rose hair or a mexican redknee those are better starters. pink toes are jumpy and are kind of hard to keep alive if you are a nub. with a rose hair all you would need is some substrate, a few logs/sticks and a water dish and a place to hide if you would like more info just send a message to my inbox :)

  • so cute!

  • oh thank so much for the info

  • no problem :)

  • dude one more question

i have the pink toe in 10 galon tank and each week i put in there like 15 crickets. and wen is time to put more i see like 9 i don`yt know if i`m donig right. i have never see her eating and i don`t konw if she is aeting. i have lke 2 months with the pink toe and i have never see molting. can you help me out pliss

  • well if ur putting 15 in a week and theres still some in there after that week switch it to feeding him/her every 2 weeks because the crickets could stress it out to the point of death. as far as the molting do you keep the tank humid enough?

  • Very cute pink toe!

    I love this tarantula.

I have a pink toe tarantula too.

She(maybe) is very cute and lovely

  • due one question how long pink toe live and how many timea pink toe molt in a year can someone tell me i`m new wih this and it will be somuchs helpful

  • they molt 1 every month

  • i have a metallic pink toe but i am hopeing to get an antilles pink toe

  • Nice pink toe, very calm. I've always had Rose Hairs and Mexican Red Legs. I'd like to get a pink toe sometimes.

  • pink toes are really good as pets. they dont bite, but they are jumpy a lot. luckily i held mine enough to were he was totally calm with me

  • Yeah, even though some disagree, T's can get used to being handled. They associate the warmth and movement of your hands as non-threatening. My emperor scorpion is the same way.

  • T's TOLERATE handling, they dont get used to it! No T enjoys being handled.

    Pretty spider tho

  • Some tolerate it as a non-threatening association - I didn't say they enjoy it.

  • I just bought my boyfriend a pink toe today for his birthday. I am very scared of spiders but i figured this would help me get over my fear. If i'm a little shaky and scared to hold the spider should i not? ive heard they can sense these things and they usualy get upset, is this true? Is it alright to have moss and bark in her aquarium or should i just pick one? Sorry if i am asking to many questions. I got a heat rock for her will that be enough? thanks :)

  • Do they ever bite if you get one of them?

    I'm thinking about getting one.

    Does the pet Tarantulas bite?

    Thank you.

  • nope they dont bite, usually, it all depends on the temperament of the one you get. Pink toes are generally very docile though jumpy at times, but still a good choice to get =)

  • Thank you bro.

    They look really awesome.

    Very cute too hehe.

    Thank you again! :).

  • Wow:) I have a girlfriend for him:) LOL:)

  • Nice cage setup. Im doing an avicularia avicularia breeding project soon

  • thanx, cool u gonna post a video if u tape it?

  • I usually tape my Ts when they when they are active, have 48 species. Of course ill tape if i breed successfully

  • Ah dude, spiders scare the cap out of me.....

  • Wow she looks nice lol, the way my tank is set up though is just a regular tank on its side, so I have to take the whole side off to get to "Agatha," what I named here haha. So the all you do is push her abdomen a little and she'll eventually make her way onto your hand?

  • yeah just gently push their abdomen and they will make it eventually lol mine was being camera shy in this 1 lol

  • Okay cool, now just wondering, when she puts her front legs up, does that mean "back off"?

  • not unless she is on her back legs and showing her fangs other than that she is just feeling around for stuff to grab onto

  • Yea, only her front legs are up. So I just put my hand right in front of her, and she put her front 2 legs on my finger tips, but it seems like she got spooked and kind of lunged forward like she wanted to bite. Not sure if this was one of those mood swings they're known for, or if it wanted me to back off.

  • mine does that to its not a mood swing its just the type of T they r its in their nature to be jumpy and skittish sometimes thats the way pink toes r lol and im puting more vids of my other Ts up soon =)

  • hope he bits u lol

  • Are you just joking lol, or are you serious?
