My ONE and ONLY problem with this game is that there was no variety with the bosses. There were only two kinds, only differing in that some were more vulnerable to different weapons. Still, it doesn't bother me too much. It's the best game that's ever been released for the DS, and the multiplayer is nothing short of epic! :) It's Metroid for the DS. What more could I want? <3

Metroid Prime series... I honestly think that it's a dishonour to call MPH just a "spin-off of Prime Trilogy". To me it's more like the CORE of Prime Trilogy! 7 different hunters to play as, 26 stages for multiplayer, Wi-Fi and bots alike, affinities... Metroid Prime Trilogy is great, but if I had to choose between MPT or MPH - Hunters all the way!

The escape had a point to it - if you read properly, it said something like, "security protocals activated." This would assumingly be a lethal defence mechanism put in place by the Alimbic race to protect the Octoliths from the unworthy.

Secondly, you can choose from two different game control styles, and it's just a matter of time until you get familiar with them.

Brilliant game, never regretted it! =)

I loved this game up until the point where you were meant to scan the spaceship before you face off against some alien boss, but I forgot to and it doesn't re-appear when you re-load the level. I hated the game after that and didn't play it again.

After I got the demo for this with my original DS model I was hyped, they got the controls down and they seemed to really understand how the combat should work on a handheld system. I got the game and was disappointed. I got even more hyped from the intro video and the controls were so perfect, but the single-player was really, really insanely bad after a while. I know the game was designed with multiplayer on mind, but I didn't have any interest in that. Very disappointing.

This had best multiplayer in the series,heck it was probably best multiplayer i ever played on handheld.If they made MPH2 for 3DS but make singleplayer more like MP for gamecube with open world and graphics on gc level as well and multiplayer like MPH but add more hunters to choose from and it will be best game ever.

@GreatBroly actually I have both consoles too and i never said which one has better graphics but they are similiar.Super mario 64 for example looks better on DS because character models are less blocky but N64 has better resolution obviously because its home console on tv so the textires are better on N64.

What i'm not happy with is xbox and ps3 fanboys saying the wii sucks and has terrible graphics yet sony copied the wiimote and microsoft copied the eyetoy. @your viewpoint is completely biased. You sold your wii because you got tired of it i still own all my systems except the gamecube because of backwards compatibility on the wii. I know a lot of people that style of controller but the reason so many don't like it is because it takes time getting used to. Unlike the regular controller it takes mastering the motion. I know you think the wii is for toddlers and the game selection isn't big but it still is revolutionary and definitely worth the play

also i'm not a nintendo fanboy i have a pretty varied console collection. I actually started with the genesis and my latest buy was the 360. I also have a wii an n64 a ps2 and a gba sp. Don't tell me that i'm obsesssed with nintendo. I merely respect there quality. The only thing i think the nintendo has always had superior is smooth gameplay. I've played an xbox and the movements can be kinda rough and the ps2 has a weird control stick but other than that all the systems have something good.

@SlamTheLabel I'm not sure where to begin my argument. First off, i love the wii due to it's unique games that can't be played on the ps3 or xbox. Without wii, i never would have gotten to play fantastic games like No More Heroes or Red Steel 2, that being said, the wii is incapable of providing an immersive, in depth gaming experience. With both lackluster power and a severely inferior online connection, i will always view wii as inferior. Still fun, mind you, but needs major inprovement.

@SlamTheLabel I can respect the fact that some people are just going to like the wii better, i can't argue with facts, but there are 3 things i need to point out: 1) there are plenty of 4 player local games for the 360 and ps3, that's not a valid point 2) Unless your counting nintendo's 1st party titles, very few games for the wii are "top quality", there's a few good ones, but most 3rd party wii titles suck and 3) While there are ALOT of control options, most games only allow motion control.

This game kind of reminds me of Metroid 2: a handheld successor to a beloved classic that had some great new ideas, but is sorely underappreciated. MPH may have been the worst game in the Metroid series, but that in NO way makes it a bad game.

Still the best FPS for the DS. Amazing controls, outstanding atmosphere and technical brilliant. A true Metroid-game: Shoot, search and get better equipment. This game is a legend on this tiny console. Alien wars wherever you are, that's what I love about it the most. Not to mention the multiplayer, the sound, the...
