  • purrs like a kitten. so sweet sounding

  • This engine is no longer for sale. I sold it a long time ago.

  • how much are you looking to get out of this bad boy?

  • Cool sound))

  • How much??

  • Your price??

  • nice rat rod engine

  • @TheBack933 ; It doesn't have to be for a rat rod. If I had that, I would put it in my '39 Dodge pick-up, which will be a nice clean resto-rod. Fuck rat rod pieces of shit.

  • and on the 8th day God created the Hemi.....

  • What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

This can be said about this extremely rusty HEMI:D

  • There a bunch of people who are digging up "baby" Hemis (354 and under). In some drag classes they're second to the SBC.

  • boat anchor!!! and everyone dreams of having one.

  • what are you askin

  • i just found out that the hemi engine were in the 1950s that cool as hell do you know what ci hemi v8s thay had to pick from back then? what one is this i like wish my durango had a hemi in it but the magnum v8s are alright it dose what i need it to do

  • @grizzleybearz282004 Chrysler, DeSoto, and Dodge all had Hemis in the 1950s. They were all different sizes and none of the parts interchanged between them. This one is from a Dodge and if it's a 1954, it's 241 CID. That engine had 7.5:1 compression and made 150 horsepower.

  • @moparmonster1965 thank you for the info sound good for 150 hp dont it! i had a 1989 camaro RS with a gm 305ci TBI v8 that was rated much more then this was it was rated at 170hp but it sounded more then what it realy had very relieable car my father got it new in 1989 gave it to me in 1998 with 200,000 on it and i had it till 2004 and sold it with 312,000 on it and it stated up on the coldest days it didnt burn or leak a drop of oil in the hottest days it didnt have alot of power but point A-B

  • @grizzleybearz282004 You also had fuel injection (probably a TBI) and HEI in that Camaro, too, which is worlds away from this Hemi. This one is hampered by a two barrel carburetor and skinny intake ports. Properly built engines like this could potentially produce 300+ horses without forced induction nowadays.

  • @moparmonster1965 ya it was a 2BBL TBI EFI setup i later had a 94 z28 with the mpi LT1 350ci motor and with alittle bit tuneing and some bolt ons minor the dyno showed 352.3 hp at the wheels im was happy with that car but it was a pain in the ass to work on i have big hands

  • @moparmonster1965 If you have a 241 Plymouth, the heads are interchangeable. I have a 241 Plymouth and I am looking for the Red Ram hemi heads.

  • @JaredEatsTheDead I'd have to see independent confirmation of that because the 241 that Dodge used through 1954 is of larger displacement at 241.3 to the Plymouth's 241 even. There was also a difference of 17 horses in the Plymouth's favor for 1955. I'm not yet convinced that they're the same engine.

  • @moparmonster1965 ; My dad and I have done some reading and everything we've read has told us that the heads were interchangeable. If you happen to come across the correct information, get back to me. I'd really appreciate it.

  • @JaredEatsTheDead There's Hot Heads in Arizona that does a lot of aftermarket stuff for early Hemis. They might know for certain, Until then, yes, I'll look through my literature and let you know if and when I find the answer.

I'm not often stumped by Chrysler stuff, but you got me this time.

  • @moparmonster1965 ; Thanks a lot, man. I shall check them out.

  • how much

  • Not sure that thing even IDLES haha

    it resting big time Lul
