I do not mean to offend anyone.I myself really liked sex pistols.However punk is a guy who has no money and lives under a bridge.That's how the punk movement started.Rotten,shaggy clothes,cuz they had no money to buy new ones.Hair standing cuz of the filth since they didn't shower.Desperate youth that didn't want to be manipulated.That was punk.Punk music was the music of the middle 70's until the middle 80's.Now we have other genres to express what punk expressed back then.

I dunno. I mean, they sort of did CREATE punk. Doesn't that essentially mean that whatever Lydon does is punk? And besides, punk isn't about going around and saying that everyone who isn't eating shit and living in a gutter has sold out. You need money, regardless of who you are. A punk with a lot of money is actually a dangerous thing for the world because now you've got an opinionated person who can really do something with the world.
