Thank you for posting this. I am learning it for an exhibiton of Travelling folk of Scotland exhibition. I am looking forward to discovering more as I have been told that I came from the Travelling tradition and little knew what that meant. So thanks very much.
i am a traveller myself and its a thing of the past now travelling famlies get no peace to stop anywhere. women used to wait til the yellow was on the broom. so they could travel and meet up with all their friends and family. sadly this those days are gone. but the memries live on.

A great song, My mother sings this and she is 88 years old.
I remember the Traveller camps between Perth and Luncarty in Perthshire a sight now gone, but the music lives on.
