Power Rangers POWER PLAYBACK and FOX KIDS Promos

The episode with White Ranger vs. Green Ranger was the part that excite me the most about that promo. I was little at the time and seeing two Tommy fighting each other for the first time was a wow factor for me.

Ok, so for those who don't know, these promos are from when the TELEVISION RATINGS SYSTEM was first established. These intros were created to show and explain the ratings to the young viewers of the FOX KIDS NETWORK, the intros were phased-out right before the year 2000, a few years after everyone got used to seeing them EVERYWHERE!

Oh man, I remember that "Tommy Time" promo. I was like, "Wow they're about to focus on the greatest ranger that ever lived. Shit just got real." Or at least that's what my 11 year old mind thought lol.

I wish i was born in 1995,(born in 96) i kinda barley remember fox kids, i remember digimon, nascar racers, beast wars/machines and that just about it, i can remember when i used to watch it with my brother though

the original power rangers were the best, Jason, Zack, Kimberly, Trina, Billy, & GREEN ranger Tommy although I do like how it evolved, and they had new characters to cover up the fact that the original actors quit, plus the ninja thing was awesome

I think the Power Rangers themselves would suggest for you to enjoy nature instead of watch TV all day, but it's always fun to watch Power Rangers.

@punkrockgoth1988 yes Haim Saban did buy Power Rangers Back and Only for 48 million compared to the billions he was paid just to sell it to disney :) haim saban will be debut the new power rangers on Nickoledeon in 2011.

Man, this brings back memories, everyone thinks power rangers is for kids, if it was for kids, it would be on PBS, there's too much violence for it to be for kids, i'll be 16 next month, and I loved these live action fighting shows, power rangers went bad after in space, they should have kept the connection/storyline going, but I did like galaxy, rescue, & time force, after time force, I hated the new power rangers, the storyline was great from MMPR - PRS, I miss the 90's =...(

@odawgg94 Dude, really? The show is for kids. Older kids, sure, but kids nonetheless. It aired on a channel called Fox KIDS, the TV rating was TV-Y7 which means it was for kids 7 and up, and next year it's going to air on Nickelodeon -- a kids' channel. There's nothing wrong with liking the show if you're older than the target demographic. Hell, there's a forum called Rangerboard full of people up the age 30 and probably even older who still like the show. It's all good.

@Zipperman2000 I know it aired on Fox Kids, I used to watch it in the 90's, man, I miss Fox Kids, too bad Disney bought them, and they don't even air all of the shows anymore, CLASSIC shows at that!

@odawgg94 By the way, Disney no longer owns POWER RANGERS. Saban re-purchased the rights to the past and FUTURE series. Look for reruns on Nicktoons in October and Power Rangers Samurai (tentative title)on Nickelodeon in 2011.

@PhireMadeFlesh - I have A LOT of VHS tapes, and since MMPR episodes became more and more scarce on Fox Kids, I remembered to NOT record of these tapes :) Good thing huh?!

Definitely a good thing. Hey, I know you mentioned MMPR, but would you happen to a promo for the series premiere of Power Rangers In Space by chance? I didn't care much for that version of PR overall, but the series premiere promo for that was great. The promo has the PRIS theme blaring, things are blowing up, Andros rides his spaceboard, (etc) & the annoucer says in a menacing tone: "May the power be with you as you take the ride. Power Rangers in Space. Coming Soon."
