  • Monsters !! ... Live and perfectly executed ... agree that you can hear two dedicated lifetimes in those notes

  • This is wonderful. Not much else to say really , the music and performance says it all :)

  • ..that takes me back ..nothing beats the sound on that Together

album..on LP.. save actually being there..

  • 2 guitar Gods in the same room. This video gives me wood!

  • What technique does Bream use to get the sound from 1:05-1:13?

It doesn't quite sound like pizzicato...I mean it is muted, but it's not the same...

  • @jimiclaptoncarl18 sounds like he's just hitting the strings with the flesh of his thumb. Bream has some pretty fast thumb action! XD

  • does anyone know if this is Breams Hauser guitar??

  • @halehale100 it's Julan Breams, English maestro!

  • @halehale100 You mean the guitar he is playing in this video? Bream played Hauser Guitars for pretty much his whole performance career and the one in the video does appear to be a Hauser.

  • @jerb81 I thought Bream generally played Jose Romanillos guitars?

  • Legend

  • Two great musicians...nothing else to say.

  • i have that album..if any one would like the link please ask..

  • @chinahands100 Please, i'd be so grateful:D

  • hah! I love it when Julian really expresses himself!

  • Julian Bream's plucking arm always looks so tense.....while williams is over there really calm. Thats alot of emotion for one guitar. :))

  • @Chon12490 maybe cuz he's doing the "pizzo" thing. don't really know the exact name but it's like palm muting !

  • @Mkamalid thanks i didn't notice that...thats like muting the only the bass notes right? I could see how that technique can make a plucking hand more tense now.

  • @Chon12490 hmm..to be honest when i do it it's not that I'm stressed.u just have to pull ur hands back right? or else ur palm wont get there? it appears as if ur shoulders are high and stressed out :/. as far as the notes go..I think his entire back "track" is muted. except for some chords ..not quiet sure. but whenever u hear sounds like that then it's muted.

  • john wiiliams only moves when he duets with juliam bream. anyone noticed that?

  • i love it when they flip page !

  • Thats No. 11 not 1.

    Its called Zambra

  • JW was quite a handsome man

  • yeah man...the guy down here is right! this is the 11th, not the 1st....nevertheless thanks a lot for sharing this magic piece!

  • Isn't this Danza No. 11, not No. 1???

  • yes indeed

  • It's no 11 indeed. Maybe the title got cut off. Or maybe he was stoned when he posted it (short term memory lapse)

Btw this music sounds great when stoned.. But I digress..

  • @mku17ra

even when not-stoned this music is pretty amazing, i think...

  • Really, this is how the guitar must be played. Ingredible.

  • Yeah, I know its the perfection of music embodied in two kindred souls blah blah.....but check out the boots, can't find heels like those nowadays. :P

  • Great!

  • i'm not particularly educated when it comes to music, but i dont think one needs to be to appreciate the elegance and beauty of a piece like this. it's truly moving

  • and if not that, you can always enjoy the faces they make lol

  • WOW -- ;-)

  • I loved their live album together (on L.P.!!! I'm Old!) and figured what I'd watch in the clip was the fingerwork. But no, it was the teamwork between these two that caught me! The nodding heads, the glances, the musicianship embodied in these two men.

  • @TheMikester307 what is their live album called?

  • @JackPillowy I think it's called "John Williams and Julian Bream Together"

  • @TheMikester307 thanks :)

  • Wouldnt it be lovely if the world got on like this...complementary, both skilled, both want the best, encourage the other and just get on with it, knowing the support is there...this is perfection.

  • Are you touched in the head? That's a lifetime of playing and practice

  • ROFL

  • 2 of the world's very best classical guitarists.

  • and the first for you?

  • I agree! you should watch dance from la vida breve by De Falla played by John Williams and Julian Bream too! I love that one as well!

  • 5 starrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr............

  • I wonder, the middle part about 3:05, I think their play isn't match each other? or has it played as it should on the score? Just wondering becoz it annoy me to hear the melody isn't really played at the exact time... I still love their intepretation n emotion though.. ^^

    however, nice video!

  • Yea, I think it was intentional. Part of the interpretation.

  • simplemente

    q hermoso tema

    maravilloso

  • when you will go to my country? I live in Taiwan

  • One of my favorites!Very nice!
