  • There used to be a funeral history museum in Springfield, IL outside the cemetery where Lincoln is buried. Unfortunately they closed their doors. It's too bad as it was nice and the displays were interesting. Death isn't morbid, it's just a fact of life. No one is leaving here alive. :) Thanks for sharing. This will be a future destination for me.

    I want to visit the place.

    It is interesting.

    Every person who has ever lived, has or will die.

    So a museum about death and funerals is fitting.

  • Lol only in America would they have a museum about funerals. Very morbid.

  • Actually there is also one in Austria, and Spain has a museum dedicated to funeral transport vehicles.

  • On Baron Springs Drive in North Houston off I-45 before FM 1960.

  • This is an awesome museum, i've been there twice now, and done 2 informative speeches on it. it is VERY interesting!

  • This is the Funeral Service Museum in Houston Texas. I believe it is located by the Commonwealth Institue of Mortuary Science. It is owned by Service Corporation International
