I feel kind of stupid commenting on this video twice, but today was my grandmothers 5 year death period day. This song is exactly what I feel about her right now!!! Celine has a song for every feeling I have from happiness to death, to depression to Love. i am so glad that I have all old albums and new albums of her. Love you Celine as long as I live!!!
Fais ce que tu voudras was written by Monsieur Eddy Marnay, who started writing songs for Celine since her debut album La voix du bon Dieu. Je Sais Pas was written by Mr Goldman who wrote the entire D'eux album. Ziggy is written by Luc Plamondon and is from the album Dion chante Plamondon meaning Dion sings Plamondon. Celine was involved in writing the music for Ce n'était qu'un rêve, and co-write Treat her like a lady and Don't save it all for christmas day."
amazing, simply amazing, could yu send me on the video as i'm saving all of celine videos and music for the furture generation, as i can tell them what real music was,
I cant stop listening to her old songs!! I love all her music, people need to rewind their brains about celine and listen all her songs since the 1980's. She is the most kindest, sweestest singer of all times. I love her soo much. SHE HAS A HEART OF GOLD!!!
I just can't get enough of this song! Why am I practically the only one who comments? Hello? Anyone out there in the internet world? Do you know what your missing? FABULOUS!
I absolutely agree, this is one of her best early songs in French. People who know Celine only from the Titanic song or "Taking Chances" have no idea what they're missing indeed.
Amen! But you and I are practically the only ones who listen to this song. I love all her French ballads-"Comment t'Aimer, "L'Amour Existe Encore", "Quand On a Que L'Amour--Celine is a musical beast. The Titanic song is fairly ordinary--but it was great at the end of the movie. I'll never forget, the screen went black, the lights turned off, everyone stood and applauded in unison. I asked a girl in front of me why she was crying. Of course, she said it was "CELINE DION"
Wow, that must have been quite an interesting experience when you see other people so touched by her music. No one from my surrounding ever was a fan of Celine, but I never cared, it's their loss, not mine.
As for her French ballads, I adore "Fais Ce Que Tu Voudras", it always makes me cry. And "D'abord C'est Quoi L'amour", shamefully underrated.
I don't know if you are aware of this, but Celine wrote "Fais Ce Que Tu Voudras". I love this song and the video is fabulous. Lyrics are simple and perfect. Fais ce que tu voudras, fais ce que tu veux, mais reste ici et si tu me laisse un peu de pluie, j'ai mon amour qui fait soleil. PERFECT lyrics. She also wrote Je Sais Pas, Un Garcon Pas Comme Les Autres-Ziggy, et Grand-maman. Je Sais Pas--Je sais les hiver, je sais le froid, mais la vie sans toi, je sais pas. PERFECT lyrics.
You are right, these lyrics are really touching and perfect in their simplicity. As for Celine being a songwriter - she never admitted it actually. I always knew that "Je Sais Pas" was by Jean Jacques Goldman. And "Ziggy" is Luc Plamondon's (at least the music). Never checked the rest though.
I knew J.J. Goldman wrote "Pour Que Tu m'Aimes Encore" and "J'irai ou Tu Iras". He's a musical genius, but I'm sure you're probably correct. I thought I read that she wrote "Je Sais Pas" It is a perfect song so I can believe Goldman wrote it. I'm almost sure she wrote "Ziggy"--I heard her talk about it. She does collaborate in writing some English lyrics. Although Celine surrounds herself with the best--like Diane Warren for instance. Nice talking to you and setting me straight..
No problem. :) Being a fan of Celine for more than 13 years by now I know some bits and pieces. ;) I knew that Goldman has written all the songs from her album "D'eux" (or "The French Album") and that includes "Je Sais Pas". Each time he writes for Celine, he does an excellent job. I'm quite sure Celine collaborated in writing the lyrics of "Don't Save It All For Christmas Day" for instance. But the main job does her outstanding voice anyway. :)
I just listened to D'abord C'est Quoi L'amour. It's fabulous. Love the music and the lyrics. Celine really delivers that song. Your correct, it is underrated--I had never heard of it. Love your taste in music. Thanks for posting this song, by the way.
Dans le rue de mon coeur, dans le soleil, dans l'ombre, partout je te vois; dans le lit de ma main, dans toutes mes reves. Ici, partout je te vois. J'ai besoin de toi, je ne vu pas, je besoin que toi; je ne plus rien san toi--I love these lyrics even better in French than "Have a Heart" and it's one of my favorites of Celines music in English. This song is the bomb. She looks great here too!
That's why I listen to Celine in French 90% of the time. I heard "Have a Heart: during her Wintergarden performance and it was great. I wasn't aware this was made first and somehow I've missed it. But it's fabulous.
great!

Je ne veux pas que quelque chose nous separe
Je ne veux pas que tu te perdes loin de moi
Je ne veux pas que quelqu'un d'inconnu
Passe un jour par la et te prenne a moi.
Le plus belle partie!
