The Corvette ZR1 is officially faster than the GTR on the Nurburgring.
But... the build quality and engineerig of the GTR is still on another level.
To take a ZR1 to its absolute limit takes a race driver. Where as the GTR can easily be driven very hard with a bit of feness.
..if you want a manual RWD car to do burnouts and get sideways take the ZR1.. if you need a 4 seater that is comfortable, easy to live with, safe and fast as fuck.. take the GTR.

That is true, the GT-R R35 is a better built car, but calling shit to a monster like the ZR-1 is excessive. The ZR-1 did a lap time of 7 minutes and 26.4 seconds in the nurburgring, making it one of the fastest production cars to lap the circuit.
That car can also corner and braking and is nothing like the usual american bullshit supercar, like a Viper.
Is the GTR a better car? Probably. But a car like the ZR1 also deserves some respect!

why r u all arguin what car is better or worst. It really comes down to prefference really. GT-R is a great success. So is Porsche your NSX or whatever may be. The point is, one manufacturer makes a car- the other tries to beat it, then another. In the end all it really matters is you get a better technology. To be quite honest, I would really like to see technology shifted towards using alternative to fuel and not ignore perfomance- the one who achieves it first should set the example for all.

That is true, the GT-R R35 is a better built car, but calling shit to a monster like the ZR-1 is excessive. The ZR-1 did a lap time of 7 minutes and 26.4 seconds in the nurburgring, making it one of the fastest production cars to lap the circuit.
That car can also corner and braking and is nothing like the usual american bullshit supercar, like a Viper.
Is the GTR a better car? Probably. But a car like the ZR1 also deserves some respect!

Your ZR1 beats the GT-R in the straight but it also has a supercharged V8 with 638 horses compared to a 485 hp twin turbo V6 and put them in the streets where it counts and the GT-R will ass fuck the ZR-1 and not even spit in its ass.

(not sure if its been beaten yet). is it really fun driving an all wheel drive system with pad shifters wiht all those electronics that do everything for u? all u have to do is steer which i find very boring. and yes i have driven one before its hell fast but its something my granny can drive too.

I think this car is awesome, same with the ZR1, but then the ZR1 is the same Z06 but faster and has a new bodykit.

as far as the ZR1 being a new kitted Z06, I couldn't disagree more.
There is more carbon fiber in the ZR1, and it utilizes an LS3 S/C (basically) The added power changes the characteristics of the car completely it would be like saying a 911 is basically a 911 Turbo, when in fact that's the difference between a supercar and a nice sports car.

why r u all arguin what car is better or worst. It really comes down to prefference really. GT-R is a great success. So is Porsche your NSX or whatever may be. The point is, one manufacturer makes a car- the other tries to beat it, then another. In the end all it really matters is you get a better technology. To be quite honest, I would really like to see technology shifted towards using alternative to fuel and not ignore perfomance- the one who achieves it first should set the example for all.
