Mix olive oil with a little water and gently rub into the effected area the glu will dissolve in the oil and you can just wash the moss away i had the same problem with my royal python
take him to the vet and he will be fine ! ! it will probs grow back it depends if it is a morph like simman4427 said it might not, hope he gets better m8
yes m8 they will grow back but some types of breed wont because of their unique pattern but if in any case they do grow back on the rare morphs and different breeds they may grow back out of format if you no what i mean by that i work with my dad in a reptile shop by the way in the uk and we are qualified reptile experts my dad is like the semi owner of the shop :D but next time i would susgest something a bit more not gonna eat or posible sitck and rip my scales with like superbond glue
the scales should grow back just fine. in the wild if a snake is injured the scales would heal. you see it a lot on constrictors from prey damage. unsure as to how the tape will affect the recovery rate because obviously the is no tape in nature, but yeah it will heal up just fine. i have a rainbow boa myself by the way. :)
snake scales donot grow back they will scar over just like on my snake its eyes got cort and ripped off and scared over also my ball python lost some scales and they sard over
Geez we had a ball python stick to double sided sticky tape, it started spinning then tore it's neck slightly open and was still stuck! I don't recommend pulling them off of the tape, not even slowly, get yourself some sweet oil or olive oil and rub it around the skin that is still stuck to the tape and they will come right off the tape smoothly. My snakes scales grew back just fine and you cannot tell where it's wound was. Looks like your snake is doing fine, sry so late.
you shouldnt have pulled off the tape, when adhesives are on snakes you leave it on, it will come off when it sheds without any damidge. and it depends on how well you treat the injury it could come out as a scal-less scar or it co0uld be a mis cooured patch
This is probably a bit late but I would not use that as it has mint extracts in it which could possibly irritate or slighly burn. I know it says cooling, calming etc. but if you have used a product with mint in there is usually a slight tingly sensation when using it which reptiles could be sensitive to?
but to reassure you, i am 100% sure the scales will come back as good as new, both my rainbows have lost a scale or two due to a bad mite issue (which has been gone for a few months now thank god) but they are both completely back to normal
ive had exactly the same thing my corn got stuck on some tape but it was on its whole body but he know looks like it neva happened lol hope he gets better
adn with the scale thing on my corn snake where alot of the scales where ripped off its gone a whitey yellow which is quite cool lol
my male corn got stuck on some tape, was heart breaking pulling it off, i could tell it was hurting him. erm basically pulled it off along with his scales :( but they did come back after several sheds. After that i bought some reptile scale treatment cream which you can buy either online or at a shop. its called Tamodine Wound Cleanser. use that on the damaged scales.
When Fluffy got bit by a mouse and it was pretty bad. He scabed over and my vet told me to put aol verra on it and Fluffy scabed up and it took like 5 sheds befor the scab fell off but it did and the scales are comeing back.
I had a ball python tht i had bought tht the former owner had left a rat in with -- you can guess what happened -- her scales grew back over the scar tissue after a period of time..
I think the purest Aloe you can get is to buy an Aloe plant an use a bit of it at a time actualy.. I;ve used Neosporin antibacterial/anti scaring ointment before with sucess as well on injured snakes so long as its a mild injury which that seems to be just lookin at it from the video.
he lost about a foot of scales on his belly and they grew back but they werent like they were before they were actually a little smaller than wat they used to be
sorry to here about the little accident. my mate had his bp caught on some double sided sticky tape he was using to hold up some vine in the enclosure and the wound was very similar to that one on your rb. 3 sheds later though the bp was as good as new and nothing remained of the damage at all ^^ hope that helps you mate. take care now =D
yeah the skin looked pretty raw and torn up, not pretty at all. but after 3 maybe 4 sheds he looked really nice, the pattern came back as well there was no sign of anything ever happening to him.
That really sucks, poor girl :(. Thats good having her on paper, that will help prevent infections. I am not to sure about the scales, never had it happen or really read anything on it. I will try to find out.
mine got stuck on tape and it lost a few scales but it is fine now so i wouldnt worry to much about it i used the zoo med healer and it did the job heald it nicley
bummer man but as we do after a while we end up with a barely noticeable scar so i can imagine that after her next few sheds it will be barely noticeable maybe just leave a scar but she should make a full recovery and id say just end up with a scar.
but an educated one. my sand boa had the same instance and it scarred over. but being a low humidity animal, sand boas might react differently. so i guess take it from what ever people tell ya.

1.) she's adorable, i have two.
2.)after a few sheads the scales will heel, specially since she's so young.
3.)the aloe vera stuff i don't know about, but i wouldn't worry about it, she'll be good as new in about 4 months.

Absolutly look at wild snakes they get bit up all the time but in time the wounds always heal. No need to worry bro she'll be fine.
