  • like i say-josies always smiling-its addicting and coach ivie in the background i see is supervising it all shes doing her job very well her sit pretty is so cute-any suggestions on how to train it? shimmer will sit up now-thing is she looses her balance-ive tried with a wall against her back or supporting her but she doesnt seem to want to stay upright..haha maybe josie can teach her something

  • Haha, thanks -- their smiling faces get me through a lot!! :')

If you go to my 'Tricks and fun things' playlist, you can see Josie's training of this trick. Well, a good bit of it anyway. It takes some time, to build the muscles so they can stay up real reliably. I never used anything to support Josie's back but she's always been a big ball of muscles, so that might help. It takes a lot of back and ab strength to do!

  • Thanks-I'll check that out right now! Shimmer's got the leg muscles-but other than that she's my anorexic girlie haha. We'll see what we can do. Once we truly learn in we'll make a vid haha josie is inspiration for all sorts of things

  • Josie is awesome!! You guys are going to blow the competition away!! :) I love Josie's tricks. Ivie's also adorable. :)

  • Thanks so much!! :o)

Ivie says thanks; she gets called pretty quite often, but not often adorable ;)

  • Good job on the sitting pretty, especially since we just started teaching it at New Years! It's funny how different her sit pretty is from Siryn's. She holds her feet low and close like prairie dog while Siryn looks like she's doing the wave at a baseball game!

  • Thanks!!

Josie's just a ball of muscles -- I SO wish I had her body makeup!! -- so once she figured out the balance, the rest came pretty naturally to her.

Now, I'm not sure I've EVER seen a dog as gung-ho about the sit pretty as little Siryn is!!! She's a go-getter with that one!!!! :o)

  • Amazing running contacts, she should do fine at the trial - cant wait to see it.=) And I love watching Ivie haha she's so cute to watch =)

  • THANKS!!

    I'm super excited about the trial...and I hope you're right :')

    Ivie does aim to please...

  • Nice work! They both look great and sitting/laying pretty too!!!

  • HAH, thanks :)

Ivie thinks her version of 'pretty (the laying down version) is far more effective ;-)

  • Don't be nervous about the upcoming show, you guys are gonna do awesome! I love watching Ivie in the backgroung! Beautiful weaves on both dogs and I love the tricks in the end LOL :-)

  • THANKS for the vote of confidence, I can use it!! :)

I've definitely gotten varied feedback about her AF's, but I'm pretty jazzed about them. & while perhaps not technically perfect, I don't think they're hugely flawed, either.

We'll continue to train and improve after these next two big weekends are over, but it's SO nice to be up to full height and just working on brushing up from here on out. !!!

  • I love watching Ivie in the background of these videos. She's just as entertaining. =}

  • She's glad you approve :)

I do mostly cross-training and conditioning with her. She has obstacle-work down for the most part, and we could tighten our lines, but that's not really the goal of my training at DAWG, so, she mostly just watches in the videos and gets to play soccer/frisbee in between takes :) Though she really could use some WP entry work, compared to her baby sister who never misses!!!! *sigh*
