I don't give a fuck about ATI's smaller grafic cards with something like 5% moar perfomance but lots of problems on the long term (like the lack of usefull fixes and driver updates) when I can get an nVidia card that will do its money in all circumstances; I still have a 9800gtx and it rocks(got it when it came out) that runs crysis 2 (directx 10) 30--45 fps on high mixed with ultra-high! It is also quiet and it has some 2 gb ddr3 witch is more than what many ati cards come with standard.

god im just going circles ..lol i research..then come to 9800 GT, then i research again..then i feel HD 4850 is best , then some say HD 4670 is best for my Dell E521 . now im just gonna take the risk and go for this HD 4850 over 9800 GT . Since i prefer all the gloss,multimedia, HD etc more over gaming.

dude. i use an nvidia GTX 260 and even THAT struggles a little on framerate on it's highest settings. Crysis is gorgeous, but it's a system hog.

It depends really on the specs of the card. Nividia cards aren't just better because they're nividia. Everytime nvidia releases becomes the top dog, ATi releases a new card and in turn become the top dog. They're both good. Brand dosen't mean shit.

They are very heavy. That is why there are 2 screws that go into the expansion slot to lock it in place and not lean onto the edges of the PCI-e slot.

What would be a good 64bit Vista media center computer? I need something that can handle large amounts of hi res. graphics (Adobe photoshop and Corel), some animation and video.

Only fault with ATI that puts me off getting another one is the terrible driver support that comes with every ATI. The ammount of problems I have had trying to locate a reliable up to date driver Is very off putting.

Single slot cards are worse then double slot for heat. Double slot heatsinks tend to direct the hot air out side the case rather then inside the case with a single slot card.

well the Super R770 smokes the GTX280 and still maintains a 400.00 price tag the catch which Im sure will change is that its only available threw OEM System builders and right now only smooth creations has it but other companies are working on their own versions so Im sure we will see a retail version to hit probably around the same time the 4870x2 is released which I myself plan to get two 4870x2 for the rig Im building. :)
