currently surviving our first deployment. the hardest job in the world is loving a soldier. but yet it is the most rewarding! my wedding had to be put off because duty came calling. and i understand that :) but i sleep with the telephone. i wait for the letters. i pray. but when im out i hold my head up high. i cant wait to see him!

@albrott i have a little over 4 months before he will be home. my little sister pulled me out on the back porch last night a told me to close one eye and while looking with the other eye hold my thumb up to the moon. and she said thats the same moon my ''bubba'' looks at everynight. and he misses you i know he does. i sat on the porch and cried for a while.

when we start seeing these men we know what and who they are, we just as easily make the choice to serve with them as they did to serve. i understand so many women can handle it and maybe because i grew up military its different for me, but your men, or women, need your support, the letters, phone calls, emails, just to give them that little bit of hope that everything really will be ok.

I'm sorry to see so many comments from bitter women whose husband's weren't strong enough, or ladies who themselves weren't up for the challenge... As a war widow, I know first hand it is worth it to stand by your man. He is giving all for his country, and his family, and everything and everyone he loves. Please, believe in him. @babiegrl74561 maybe he's afraid of more than that, because it's pretty common for a woman to cheat on her man while he is deployed. It's easy for a man to cheat on his woman when she's gone as well.... trust me, I know! Soldada por vida.
