Loved this band, but I think a lot of the comments are over the top. We had a lot of good bands up here around the time ..Associates/Silencers/Orange Juice/Minds/Hipsway/Blue Nile etc. We are all entitled to an opinion, but I wouldn't say GMM were the best . Maybe we are going to get a return to those kind of times with the likes of the View/Glasvegas .Bring it on..

Reason for not making it big , they had a reputation of burning the candle at both ends. wrecking the hotel rooms etc, wore a bit thin with the suits. A good band wasted.

They were a good band Gino. Plenty good Scottish bands on the go at that time. Associates/early Minds/Hipsway before Texas/ Silencers/Orange Juice etc. Maybe we're due another good spell with the likes of The View/Glasvegas etc.
