I keep coming back to this interview, to think about how Selma Blair likely would have been perfect for Rachel Dawes in the Christopher Nolan Batman movies. Compared to Maggie Gyllenhaal, Katie Holmes wasn't bad, but I think Blair would have been and more believable than either of them. Blair has the right look, age, maturity and feel to her. She'd be believable as the DA in Begins. And probably have better chemistry with Bale. Holmes and Gyllenhaal are the weak points in Begins and Dark Knight.

Selma would have been a top choice of mine, but there's at least a handful of other actresses I would have chosen over ol' Maggie Gyllenhaal. She was bad, didn't fit the role, didn't have the right look. After I saw her, I was longing to have Katie Holmes. Holmes didn't fit well either, but at least she wasn't bad for the role, and compared to Maggie, she was great. I think even Rose Byrne or perhaps Rachel McAdams would have been better than Maggie. I had friends who cheered when Maggie bit it.

Not to get all Avatar the last airbender in everyone's faces.....but in Avatar blue flames are more intense then red/orange flames. Also if her powers did mature wouldn't it make sense if her flames turned blue. Like in real life, when you use your stove or something that allows you to witness fire, I think you'll see that blue flames are more intense then regular ones.
