@307236 anything from shure or audix is great for recording drums. Shure for the bass drum and Floor toms work better but audix for snare and rack toms. Get some shure condensers for ur hats and ride and possibly 2 audix overheads.

The snare is a brass snare. Metal drums WILL ring.

And I think his snare sounds good!

Some feedback: I think you need to balance out your snare with everything else. It sounds too loud a little ringy. And the bass sounds better than your last videos. The mixing on the cymbals sounds amazing and perfect. The toms are also prefect and don't have a whole lot of ring to them. And one more thing, off topic; your shoes look kinda weird. Otherwise great cover man. Keep it up.

usually you don't hear it is because the drums are normalized with the rest of the instruments and the rest of the instruments drown the ring of the snare out.
