I always wonder: With all heavy layers of clothes, What if the girl urgently wanted to urine? or worse in the middle of her intertaining perfomance? and do they have to wear that in a casual day?
@SSASMSKSR Don t worry, Maiko and Geiko are allowed to go to the toilet. Just, they don t wear panties but a simple long piece of material a bit like a wrap-over skirt or a pareo ( i hope it s a good example and that it give to you a little idea ). But even with that, it s hard to lift the heavy kimono. Mayge some people think that it isn t like that an underwear for kimono, of course nowadays there are new styles but Geisha keep the traditionnal one.

@shizukagozen777 I think the question is about maiko (geisha apprentices). Maiko have to keep their hair in Nihongami (special Japanese traditional hair), except for one a week when they get their hair redone and the two Sundays/month that it is their day off and summer vacation. When they wear their hair in Nihongami, then they have to wear kimono...although yes not formal kimono but regular kimono like a regular girl might wear....anyway this girl in the video is just henshin so no problem4her
@jojiojp Maiko or Geiko,we don t care,they have both the same rules,excepted Geiko who can wear a katsura.(Katsura means wig).But,i wanted to say:if the Maiko has her japanese hairstyle,she has to dress with a kimono(simple or not,it depends if she s working or not) and if she has not her hairstyle she has to wear westerner clothes if she wants!She has to keep her hairstyle all a week and to go to the hairdresser one day a week only.Then,one day she has her hair free for a few hours

However, I don t want to talk about these details, i wanted to say they are not so different, if you compare with an Oiran for example. Also, i never said Geiko don t have hair, i just said they are allowed to waer a wig, contrary to Maiko.
