Hi Jennie. I really like the two violin lessons. While not new to music, I am new to the fiddle and I appreciate the pace and development of ideas from the simple scale to all of the strings, playing along with the tracks, to sliding notes. It's good processing and it had me playing along fairly quickly. I was reading some of the comments and your reply and I disagree with you on one point: I don't think writing down and analyzing the notes of what you've done would drain any of the life...
Great lesson. My daughter is a beginning violinist and as a blues guitarist I was trying to explain to her teacher what the Pentatonic minor scale is. I think your lesson is perfect. Maybe a close up on the fingering if you do another lesson.
thank you for this lesson - I learnt to play classical violin always reading music, now I'm starting to improvise a bit of blues and your lesson is really helping me! It's clear and simple, and I can start playing right now! Thanks!

THANKYOU FAB !CAN YOU PLEASE PLEASE TELL US WHAT ALL THE NOTES YOU ARE PLAYING, AS I CAN BUSK IT, , GOT THE SCALE, BUT LOVE WHAT YOU ARE PLAYING. TO THE TRAX
I'm sorry but I couldn't begin to write down what I play. It's in the moment and from my heart. Something would be taken away from the music I create if I analysed and notated it. I suggest you start with the scale, feel what you want to play and enjoy and give credit to even the simplest music you create. You can play simply and busk. People want to hear your music not a copy of someone else's. All the very best with your musical journey. JW
The best basic blues for fiddle lesson on Youtube. Logical steps and a teacher that inspires confidence. (And you've a very seductive smile when you play ;-) ) Thanks for posting this!

I see your backing track is a 12 blues. What is the key your in when you play the e minor scale. you have really taught me a lot about the blues.
