  • no sound---------becoz on that times flims were not technically producd withs sound system on film tape,,this technology came after some years.

  • Sound was muted while filming.

  • Nothing on the site indicated it was a home movie, it is a travel movie site where all of the travelogues generally have a professional commentary.

    A polite response would have been more appropriate without the explanation marks.

  • Thank you for sharing these wonderful old images with us. I visited Ceylon in 1978, and it was a magical place. Wish I'd visited Burma in the '70s as well!

  • Of course there's no sound!! Home movies did not have sound in the 1920's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's!!
