Sadly, like most hearing people, I don't know ASL yet. I certainly HOPE the internet will allow ASL culture to be stronger.
What I can say is this, most hearing people are not really "prejudiced" against deaf people. They simply don't know how to communicate with them. However, text messaging exists.
It sucks that because hearing are the majority, deafies have to adapt more to the hearing that the other way around. All the same, tech, can level playing field
