That's ridiculous. That isn't even comparable. Stalking a person isn't right. Crowding around them and their car and following them and their family is WRONG. Waiting outside of their gate is wrong. Carrying around a camera to capture a picture of a human being is just wrong. If you happen to have a camera and are a fan of the celebrity, sure, go ahead...ASK them if you can have a picture. But to crowd around people and follow them to take their picture without permission needs to be illegal.

How would you feel if EVERY day people followed you and took hundreds of pictures of you a minute? When you go to the gas station, go and get the mail, go to the gym, go to work; EVERYWHERE. Waiting outside of your house and such. Think about that. And afterwards having the entire world judge the way you walk, talk, act, work and live. I know that's a technically a part of their career, and they KNEW it would be like this, but there should be a line between their career and their personal life.

yeah but the law allows for any person in america to have someone sit outside their house 24/7 taking photos of you. it's their choice. however, if it gets to a point of harassment, then sure they can sue them for that. but chances are, the queen B doesn't want to have that looming over her head every day as well.

I used to be a HUGE fan of celebrity gossip, but once they started tormenting and stalking a 15 year old child just for acting like a 15 year old girl, then that's where it crossed the line.

Do you honestly think the celebrities want this? Britney Spears has broken down crying because of it; it's obvious she has no choice. That's why it needs to be outlawed.

But if they outlaw or require model releases of public photography, then ALL public photography will need FORMAL model releases, not just "Hey, can I take your picture." Instead, it would be "Hey, can I have you sign this document, give me your phone number address etc if I need to contact you and then take a picture of you?"
