That said , it is VERY NAUGHTY driving at that speed through chicanes which have purposefully been put behind the housing estate due to a high accident rate ... but we've all done daft stuff and I'm certainly not going to preach ! shame you just couldn't have found a mint country road at 4am on sunday to show it off properly , ... or go through a tunnel ... that'd be great !

If you see a guy in a Clio V6 , and he's not dead , then he is almost definately a better driver than you ! This car is notoriously difficult to "tame" , easily the hardest performance car I've ever owned.Your man drives it with complete ease and confidence and over speed bumps too ... if I drive over a speed bump in mine at more than 15 MPH it just flys off the road! I doubt any F1 Driver could do better on this uk road

The gearbox is sequential and ESSENTIAL (like a motorbikes) (and appears to be 5 speed)) , you could never change gear fast enough on the standard or even Pk6 box for the speed at which the engine revs rise , ... the more shrewd will have noticed that the car is rarely at full throttle ... on a standard box with this later 255 inlet +supercharger you would get to 160MPH no probs , maybe more

Haha! It IS a Supercar and as Top Gear's review will tell you; it will out accelerate the Carrera 4S , which in turn will out accelerate An Audi R8 ! (maybe not the later V10 model but Clarkson is driving a standard V6 in it's heavier phase 2 format) this car is stripped,carbon fibre bonnet etc. and I suspect producing 400+BHP ... It is supposed to sound like that(it would sound far better in real life) ...

lets assume you have a V10 R8. They put down about 380kw to the rear wheels and weigh about 1600kg. This Clio weighs around 1400kg. Going by the look of this thing it would have at least 350kw @ all four inc nice tight gear ratios on its dog box. It would most likely drill a stock R8 V10.

Nah, a stroker kit basically increases the travel of the pistons. So basically it is limiting the rev limit on the car and it is making that noise. Ermmm... It is increasing the torque so it will climb quicker there for giving that sound before the limit.
