I dont understand why we need universal health care. why not just expand medicare to cover more people who cant afford health care on there own. Why re haul the system. Ive heard horror stories from friends abroad and I've experienced social health care when my dad was hospitalized in Greece. In most counties with socialized health care people pay the doctors CASH payments for special treatment otherwise you wait and wait forever. I had a health problem in NY and was MRI's, CT''d and
operated within 3 days... yes I have coverage but why should we ruin a system for 250 million who do have insurance. Instead expand medicare to cover ALL who can not have their own insurance. Cause if you think universal health care means good health care, it doesn't. I know in Greece and Italy for a fact people pay CASH money under the tabe to DR for treatment IN THE HOSPITALS. not sure in England or Canada. But I know people in Canada where my cousins live cant get an MRI for months.

Most obvious exactly where this person's motives
are. In this present economy right now with
the numbers losing jobs along with health
benefits these numbers are sadly most inaccurate. Heath care is tied to income and
work. Government also runs Medicare which has
worked pretty well for millions of people. You
fear what you don't understand or have had to
suffer with yourself which is lack of health
care with a serious health condition.
