i'm from canada and everybody here in my generation gets along fine regardless of racial, religious, or ethnic orientation. I grew up with people from all over the world and it enrages me that such a thing is happening. I don't think it has anything to do with being muslim, as much as it has to do with holding individuals accountable for their actions free of bias. A girlfriend of mine here was married to a black American soldier in 1969 and they went to visit his family in New Orleans that year. I grew up with people from all over the world and it enrages me that such a thing is happening. We are not allowed to sing our National Anthem on our own National Day. The so called "Christmas-holiday" is racist and have been changed to "Winter-holiday". We are not allowed to eat Christmas food in school anymore. We are not allowed to celebrate anything that have something to do with Christmas in school. We are not allowed to wave the Swedish flag. When I talk culture I'm almost exclusively referring to cultrual religious practices. I have nothing against harmless stuff like different foods.
