  • what year was this recorded the quality looks older

  • Piece of shit!

  • Gotta love em, its a 1.0 liter, 40 mpg, 5speed Go Cart!!!

  • haha

  • Comment removed

  • Ok,I will, thank you jmoyet...!!! I haven`t though ebay...

  • Hi, I`m from Mexico, does somedoby knows where in US I can buy a working Geo Metro engine? I`m able to import or export, but I really want it working. ThaNKS...!!!

  • Not sure where since I'v never looked for engines but you could try ebay. or ask around in some swift/metro forums.

  • yeah i got a 4 cyl one i can sell you the car was rolled but it still runs and drives great!

  • @precox Try looking on Craigslist sometimes you can get a 1.3 for about 100 bucks

  • hahaha 3 In a row Make it go

  • huh?

  • its an old geo metro saying cuz its got three cylinders? get it and there in a row?

  • i guess... first time i hear that.

  • inline 3 cylinder is what he means all the cylinders a parallel to each other

  • hey if you really want to save gas you could have the a/c and power streeing and all tht other stuff running off of small eletric motors and get a better flowing air and intake i dont think u would gain much more mpg but it will give you a tiny bit of extra power cause theres less drag on the motor that way

  • It has no A/C or power steering.. wheels are thin enough not to need power steering. Iv looking at cold air intakes but none are made for 3cyl metros, they are custom made by metro owners themselves.

  • i have a honda civic and that gets over 40 mpg. n way faster than this car

  • well.. good for you. lol

is it a late 80's civic?

  • my dad's 1991 190 E 2.3 has a 4 cylinder and it's got over 150HP and does 42 MPG with only a K&N filter a little exhaust work and some headwork done to it

  • I think in the USA, The Geo Metro is the most economic car around, and very efficient too.

  • Yes and with some modifications it can be even more economic and efficient.

After fixing some of the rust damage (check rust video) I might do some modifications to improve the fuel efficiency.

  • I imagine just add a K&N Filter, DC Headers, NGK Spark Plugs, AEM Cam Gears,MSD Igniton Coils, Borla Exhaust, Hondata Chip, ARC Aluminum Radiator, BBK 70mm Throttle Body, Carbon Fiber Hood, fenders, side skirts, front and rear bumper, doors if possible. Light rims and you gotta 70hp Geo Metro with at least 50mpg, Now thats a fuel economy car. Oh and add a pair of HID headlights to be awesome lol

  • O.O... LOL wow... you sure know your parts.

the costs from all of that is way overkill just for 5-10mpg and 20HP gain.

I had some halo headlights on it but H4 bulb didn't have the same plug pattern as the headlight plug.... H4 plug |_| Factory plug |_/

need to find some sort of adapter for it.

  • lol your right it is a lot of money just for some bolt on performance parts. But for some people its just the way to go to be different from all Metros and other cars out there. And yeah you need the right plugs for that, theres a lot you can find in the internet and maybe your local auto store who knows. Its all universal in some aspects. Im pretty sure they do have HID pairs for a Geo, they must have it for all cars.

  • haha sike u hella dumb. all this shit would cost way over 1500. and it seriously doubt it will get 70hp. and it would probally get little or less mpg. first of all..dc headers dont make headers for geo. aem cam gear is fukken unnessary, hondata chip? wtf this car is carbed. a new radiator will only reduce heat and i seriously think the original radiator is effiecient enuff since this is a small car. A bigger throttle body will induce more air, hence more fuel to compensate, equals bad mileage

  • A larger throttle body will not reduce mpg at low throttle, obviously it will at wide open throttle if the proper tuning has been done. Adding a larger throttle body will not change fuel trims. If there were a difference, (Assuming the valve train and exhaust arent bottle necking the engine) it would run lean, without a tune.

Overall, larger Tb is a waste, if hes going turbo anyway, unless he received it free of cost.

  • and fukkken CF hood, and bumpers are dumb...u only lighten ur car by like 20 pounds. Lighter rims wont work since geo's rims are light enuff. Obviously you dont know your stuff. all that shit, you musta been thinking about honda civics. keep ur NFS knowledge to urself cuz u are giving bad advises

  • lol acting tough on a keyboard lol. And why do you care by the way?

  • i am not acting tough...i am saying, the info you are giving is bs and stupid. Thats what i am saying

  • Your just wasting your time on such useless comments if you its think bs and stupid, then why do you care so much? You tell me what mods should go in it. I think we both need anger management lol. I just dont see the reason for arguing over the internet lol.

  • If you want real performance, your going to have to go custom on everything. More then likely, youll need a stand alone engine managment system and a completely different engine and drivetrain set-up.

  • @EuroCarfan00 THE VW BEETLE SET THE WORLD RECORD FOR MPG BUT ITS CLOSE

  • I want to put a tornado device in the manifold-you know they actually put a half a split directly in front of the valve in the head,in the airtrack for a race gm v8.Ithink Lotus designed it and it kept the air swirling and together at higher rpm, think what 3 tornado things would do in each track!Mustang has somthin simalar as well.

  • those don't work, simply put why don't you see them in built cars? you see forced induction because that's what works

  • belts squeeking ears dying AAAAAAAAAAAH lol!!

  • lol. yeah i know. that belt has been replaced 4 times and it stops for about 2 weeks then it starts squeaking again. so im guessing its one of the pulleys.

  • my friend had some belt trouble on his metro also. it was really slack so his alternator wasnt spinning and his battery kept dying lol

  • they have a special lubricant for belts but I think your over tightening-to check the pulley take off belt and see if you can deflect/wiggle the pulley.I'm a know it all.

  • It might be the tensioner. Tighten the belts, it might solve your problem. It did mine.

  • wow...oww....yea...mine does that same thing...and I don't know why...but it's only the AC belt that does that....whenever I turn on the ac it acts up...bad....clicks, and hums, and knocks, and squeels and something that sounds like a rattle snake got jammed in my vent....

  • great metro i have a little 92 covertable best darn car ever made no doubt not the safest but there very fun to drive one of the best things is when i show people the motor just the look on there face is funny enough the motor is one that lasts as long as the vw bug's but just as picky too

  • who the heck would steal a geo metro anyways?

  • With today's gas prices EVERYBODY wants to steal a Metro. I love mine anyway.

  • The question I found myself asking was why...why does that car even feature door locks.

  • becuz no one wants there metro stolen are there radio stolen f00

  • metros feature a radio????? wow

  • why do metros have door lock. check "1997 Geo Metro Brake in"

  • good, now you have even more of a reason to push that off a cliff lol

  • nah its just more of a reason to remind yourself not to leave the face of the radio on.

  • Take out the tubing on the airfilter

Thats what I did youll probably gain an extra horsepower =)

  • ok i'll try that.
