  • If there ever was a perfect 10, Shannon's first vault was it.

  • Shannon was robbed. All I can say. How could that not have been a 10?

  • I seriously think the reason the 6th judge didn't post a ten was Nunno's annoying cheers right behind them. If he had kept his mouth shut, she'd have gotten a 10 and she'd have won.

  • i have to say as much as i love Gutsu... my god shannon should have won that first vault was amazing and under that kind of pressure, i remember watching this as a child and thinking shannon had gold!

  • @paulouk83 nsyncchick8877 and strongbad635 I agree that Shannon should have gotten a10for that first of vault. It was simply breathtaking, and the second one was beautiful as well. But she didn't lose the gold medal because of that vault. She scored higher than Tatiana here. She lost it because Tatiana scored better than her on the bars and in the floor exercise.

  • @Katie27000000 yah but tatiana didn't deserve to score higher then her on bars:/ I mean their bar routines are basically identical, but shannon has more difficulty in hers with better execution, and landings..

  • @mortella23 I agree with you completely that Shanno's execution and landings were perfect, or really close to it, but didn't Tatiana have a more difficult dismount? I thought her dismount was outrageously difficult, or at least I heard it was, although I don't recall exactly what it was.. Maybe a double layout or a double double? If that were the case, her start value would have been higher, so she might have been able to make mistakes. What's your opinion?

  • @Katie27000000 I saw the video of Tatiana, she had a double layout dismount, but she slightly piked it, and landed a bit deeply. And shannon had a full in. But they both had a start value of 10.0, and shannon landed her dismoutn straighter up. So I just felt that Shannon deserved a slightly higher score is all. Plus shannon has a more difficult release move combination, i think opposed to gustu's full puriette ginger, shannon does a hop full puriette ginger. Idk thats just my perspective:/

  • @mortella23 extremely interesting point, and duly noted. I guess I would ask how much more difficult Tatiana's dismount was. Things were weighted as a 10, when certain things were more difficult than other elements to perform. so I guess I'm asking what they would have gotten todayBut I totally see your point. Thanks for discussing these things with me :-) I love being obsessed with this stuff. Shannon may well have been underscored, even if I'm not sure whether or not Tatiana scored too highly

  • @Katie27000000 I love being obsessed with this stuff to! And your welcome! It was great to discuss this stuff, and have dissagrements with someone, who doesn't attack me just because I have a different opinion. Crazy youtubers! They get to obsessed with a particular gymnasts, and they get completley irrational! haha, well thanks:D

  • To this day, I still believe that Shannon was robbed. That first vault should've been a 10l.

  • k those of you who are mad about the scoring you have to remember that they have 6 judges and they can only really judge what they see and remember about the routine so im sure that some of them take off for the deductions but i guess they have to be in agreement on what the final score should be caz if they don't i think they have talks about it but who knows if all of them judge on the routine itself im sure they have different things they can judge on

  • ASCUZE ME WORLD BUT SHANNNON MILLERS FIRST VAULT WAS A 10, SORRY THAT WAS A 10 NO BETTER THAN THAT A 10 10 10 10.00 PERFECT

  • LAVEENIA MILASAVICHI HAVE 3 RELEASE ON THE BAR? I ONLY SEE 2 EVERY TIME I WATCH I CONFUSE?

  • @snofagun1814 Lavinia Milosovici does have 3 releases. The transition from the high bar to the low bar is counted as a release element.

  • @cjsvanner33 - I thought technically though that the 'shaposh' was a transition move not a release, to be considered a release, the gymnast needs to release and recatch on the same bar????

  • @snofagun1814 i do too 1. would be from the high bar to the low bar and then the 2nd would have been the release on the top so wheres the 3rd release?

  • I think that her floor shouldve been like, a 9.85, not a 9.25.

  • @GymMonkeyAz If Gutsu deserved a 9.85 then Miller with her much simpler tumbling, gross tuck positions, boring music and choreography, big step back on the middle pass, should have been a 9.75 then.

  • @beckerbombs I actually think that they should have scored about the same. both had great choreography, in my opinion... gutsu's step forward should have been a minimum if .1 deduction. Miller's tumbling was more solid, and less difficult.

  • doesn't gutsu's score look to high? it is to me.

  • @msalasan gutsu not only shouldn't have been in the competition but was way overscored on her floor routine...

  • Shannon's coach (Steve Nunno) is the best coach, he took Shannon to the next level, and he pushed her, great job Nunno!!!

  • @palou411 - if you like grown men talking to girls like their 2year olds yes - not disputing what he did with Shannon just its not nice to see........
