The new Tv is awesome - got a newer model then we originally intended, but it was worth it! It took months of nagging from our friend Jim for me to come up with the name for the house so he could make the sign!
I'm so jealous! If I weren't moving back to the UK in a year or two I'd expand my little bungalow as well. Of course I don't have much in the way of a garden, so it'd be difficult to expand any direction but up.
We've not met, but I've been watching your videos for a while. They're mint!
Charli...such a solid little cottage, rising now quite nicely.I too am eying one of those new bedrooms for my visits to the UK.I'll bring along my boy Bill, the Boston Terrier,so Fonzy has a wee bit of company! Thanks for the tour! xoxo tom
You probably could, and pay for it straight away! LOl.......London is the destination this time,as a side-trip from Paris....and Rob (Riverman1971) has me covered!Bill most wait to meet Fonzy :o(
At least this one's playing for me. Great stuff to see such a lot of progress. I can't believe you went rooting through your own skip! Fun knobs for the bedroom, what a good idea. Cheers, Lesley
Um no, it's the waste pipe for the toilet! We're just having standard, boring radiators, but that doesn't matter, as everyone will be looking at the sofas and tv, not the radiators!
Well the lines of bricks looked like they had holes in them running all the way along which looked like they were left there to put underfloor heating pipes through in to they gaps between the lines of bricks.
You were making me awfully nervous up there Charli! I had to FF until you came down. LOL Love the sofa's and the doorknobs are quite lovely. I've just got boring brass. Your home is coming along quite well and thanks for letting us be a part of the before/during/and after. It's been great!
What an exciting time for you and Rich...thanks for the tour and the memories..it was exciting seeing my house go up and we have many happy photos of the occasion..although the builders did not like the fact that I was take pics of their work and pointing out what I thought to be dodgy work lol...hugs
Thats cool. Little Ripples, sweet! I like the sofa's and the other stuff. Color coordinated door knobs. LOL All of our door knobs are old 50's american glass door knobs, interior.
The sofas will be here at the end of January, the sound system will be here next week, and the TV will be here when we come back off holiday - speaking of which, can't wait to see you guys!!
The builders have said they'll be done before Christmas, and also that if they overrun, they'll have lost money! Just goes to show, that Rich knows how to haggle!
I don't have a problem with heights, but had there been a spider on the ladder, I would not have gone up there! The house sign is going to be put on once the house is finished, as it's official christening! Should be all done for Christmas!
Little Ripples, that's so sweet:)

The doorknobs look like crystal balls. Looks like you will have an exciting set-up when it's all done.

Should keep Rich occupied, staring into them to try and get the lottery numbers!

I have such a dirty mind - I'm seeing innuendoes everywhere (fun knobs for the bedroom - LOL) :o)

OK I confess I could have put it another way but it's more fun if you can raise a smile too! L

Is that under floor heating in the new house, well, the hole for it?
It's going to be ace! You've got some nice new stuff!

Tipples84 4 years ago
Ah OK, no I didn't mean that though pipe though, it's too complicated to explain the rubbish I was clearly talking.
higgypopuk 4 years ago
Did you mean the spaces between the lines of bricks on the floor?
Tipples84 4 years ago
Well the lines of bricks looked like they had holes in them running all the way along which looked like they were left there to put underfloor heating pipes through in to they gaps between the lines of bricks.
higgypopuk 4 years ago
Ah right, there are gaps there, and I'm sure they could be used for pipework, but not for underfloor heating, as we can't really afford that! :o)
Tipples84 4 years ago
It is a bit of a pointless luxury - nothing wrong with other heating methods and who wants hot feet all the time!!
higgypopuk 4 years ago
Good point, and I'd rather have a big TV anyway!

Deffinatly!! So you got a spare room? Fat control said I could move in - I'm being kicked out of my house :(
