  • If you'll take the motor apart and with your finger put a very light coat of red#2 tube grease from your local auto parts store you can use the fan nearly a whole season without the bearing noise. I have done hundreds of these this way.

  • The motor sounds like a fasco

  • has shroud

  • no it doesnt, you just think it does

  • nice find

  • Nice find, too bad about the bearings though. It does seem to coast down pretty good at least.

  • NO SHIT SHERLOCK

  • shut the fuck up andrew i bet you have never oiled you TWO vintage fans

  • yea really, have you heard his 16 inch Kmart run?, it sound like its going to die, and a good fan like that should out live him, but he will end up killing it

  • I have oiled it. The bearings are already worn. The only thing I can do to try to make it quieter is balance the blades. That might get rid of the knocking noise.

  • exelent find love the retro aqua color did eskimo use there own box fan motor?

  • Thanks!

Eskimo, Toastmaster, Manning Bowman, etc. were made by McGraw-Edison. The motors on these fans were made by McGraw-Edison and seem to have only been used on their fans.

  • cool
