It's not fair or accurate to judge a player just from one or two bad losses. RX yielded a perfect to a few players; Kokujin got double-perfected by J; Kuroda in one match could barely touch Inoue, who isn't even one of the best Oros; Match got parried so much by Ikego's Elena that he looked like an amateur player. Every top player has bad matches. Umehara is still a very good player in 3rd Strike.

Besides EX tatsu, Ken doesn't control the air anyway. Also, Urien has anti air fireballs that can lead into a +50% combo. Jumping with Ken when you're opponent isn't knocked down is useless.

It just boils down to who is most entertaining to watch.

J and RX both lost in the finals during SBO2 and SBO5 respectively. Getting into the finals without using a top tier character (ken, chun, yun etc..) is a feat itself.

Winning a SBO doesn't necessarily make you a "better" player than other top players. You know nothing about 3s.

Actually, if you watched alot of RX's matches, he seems to be rather weak against top level Makotos in general.

If A lose to B, and B lose to C, it doesn't mean that C will lose to A. Everyone's skill level differs and there is no "best" player.

In fact, even Kuroda who is easily the top 3 players still gets beasted sometimes.

Daigo has the best ken in the world when he was in his prime, but he has retired from sf3 and is now playing sf4.

RX and J are both top-notched players which are pretty even in their own game and character (urien & makoto). RX's secondary character is actually Makoto. I haven't seen J since SBO2.

There really isn't a "best" player though.
