it was a natural harmonic and then he whammy-ed it...that's all it was...you can do them on the 5th, 12th, 7th frets very prominently but can also get them on the 3rd, 4th, 15th, 19th....pretty much anywhere...just lightly touch over the metal of the fret (don't press down) and play the note as a harmonic

The squeely noise is just a pinch harmonic. You have to lightly touch the string right after you hit it with ur pick. idk if this is what your asking for but if it is then good luck <3 not the easiest thing to learn :) But once you have it, its awesome <3

oh sorry mate i made a mistake, the last squeely thing is just a harmonic, only works on the 5th and 12th frett. With ur left hand (or whichever you use on the frett board) just lightly touch the notch at the 5th frett nd play the string =) it rings out as a harmonic <3
