  • Ahhh, looks like you're using SS32 ver. 2. Classic!

  • Hi! i'd just like to say i find this very interesting! i know that there is voicetracking everyday on radio but never knew how it worked! I also hope to get into radio and deejay someday myself! thanks for the vid!

  • Hey I'm a college student, learning how to become a radio jock, and I am pretty interested in how this works. Is voice tracking used during holidays like Christmas or Thanksgiving? Because that's what I've been told.

  • @ranelproductions - Whoever told you that is wrong. Unless you can find a station that has live jocks around the clock, voice tracking is done EVERYDAY! On some big market stations prime time shifts are live, like mornings, middays, and afternoons. Out of the 7 stations in our cluster, most of it's voice tracked. We only have one station that's live from 6am to midnight. So it's not just on holidays, it's a daily thing. It's a sad thing, but a sign of the times. Hope that helps.

  • To be honest, voice tracking is good if the DJs are busy doing more important affairs, but when you have out of town people doing it for the radio station, it can be the destruction of local deejaying.

  • Scott Studios has come A LONG WAY since 1998. That was 12 years ago back in the Windows 95/98 days. It runs PERFECT now and I love using it.

  • What is the website for this Scott Studio radio automation. I have been google it and i cant find the website.

I wanna know more about this software. Looks pretty cool and useful as long as if this is cheaper than RCS Master Control.

  • This is for professtioan use only. They come in and set it up. My guess for something like this is more than 20-30,000 bucks. This program works together with something called TLC. We have it on an entire network here.

  • @gunnarasgeir Its no longer Scott Studios, because it merged with Maestro and Google. Then later in 2009 Google sold the radio automation business to Wide Orbit so now its called Wide Orbit radio automation.

  • @gunnarasgeir That may be, but we haven't changed anything in this cluster of 8 radio stations!

  • COOL

  • alright thanks man...

  • hello im joe..what software automation you are using... for 6 hour show.,.. me im using otsav... cool but i want to know about what you are using

  • Scott Studios

  • Why aren't you live fella?

  • Sign of the times, nature of the beast. Not to mention I am on live every morning and afternoon.

  • wow you have a wide variety little texas too tom cochrene.

  • Base on what he said this station is in Salt Lake City, Utah

  • "Oooh, Ahhh!" I was told what voicetracking was when I visited a radio station before, but now seeing it be done is amazing! So... it takes a few hours at the most to do a 6 hour show for the voicetrackers.. I was never smart enough to figure that out. Haha

  • I can do a 6 hour show in 20 mins

  • Ohhh my gosh, our station used to run Scott Studios before switching to Master Control.

    Cheers

    Alex

  • interesting! I shall pass this on to my son!

  • Thanks for sharing,I would love to have some of your gear.

  • Just wondering what broadcasting program your using for the tracking.

  • We use the Scott System, and TCL.

  • A nice peep into a radio broadcasting production. Thanks!

  • Very interesting stuff that is for sure! You do as if you do it in your sleep! With such precision!

  • These are the best, thanks again for shearing the secrets of radio. Can't wait to see more. :)
