  • modern bananas are a product of man.

  • But I love bananas...

  • BAHAHAHAHA!

"The banana: an atheist's worst nightmare." Wow...

  • I think I

  • oh god the banana argument...

  • One person is in love with Kirk Cameron...

  • although discoveringreligion makes some small mistakes throughout this series, so what? it's a very informative piece of work and is largely correct. so please don't quibble over little errors (example: natural selection as the mechanism for evolution. while it isn't the ONLY one, it is clearly accepted by most scientists. even Gould .)

  • Why is the sixth episode unplayable in certain countries?

  • The Creationist Banana explanation alone should make them lose all credibility. Either they totally made that up based on assumption or assumed their followers do not read books or use the internet.. Love the video's so far !!!

  • This is the first time I see a you-tube video with 362 postive an NO negative votes. Thumbs up! ;o)

  • I think I'll go downstairs and eat a banana.

  • Comment removed

  • @saadabdulaziz Yeah i guess you would see it as a waste of time. However please notice that Darwin was trying to figure out the glory of Gods creation. He wasn't an ateist but a God fearing man. So before you spout more of your guru Darwin etc then please think about his perspective and that of atehists. Then you might recognize that atheism has nothing to do with Darwin but the lack of evidence of what we apparently are supposed to do

  • 0 creationists watched this video.

  • Speaking of bananas, I do live in a region where bananas have seeds. The local people told me they were native bananas. I was amazed by my findings, but it makes sense to me know (after watching the clip) why some bananas do have seeds.

  • @DiscoveringReligion, where can I watch episode 4? I love the videos on this topic, and I don't want to miss any episode. Thanks!

  • I feel so bad for Ray Comfort. I just feel bad for him.

  • may i ask why this episode has been banned in those countries?

  • 1:08 - OH NOOO: A BANANA!!! The Horror - How could ever refute such compelling evidence.............without needing an I.Q. greater than the fruit itself!?

  • This series is really phenomenal, outstanding work for just one person, deserves more views and likes than it has.

  • This i bit incorrect, Cimeras can produce offspring even if not very successfully, however during some time chimeric offsprings will revert to one of original species.

to secure chimeric traits some severe mutations must occur in chromosome so that they merge or exchange genes. so that all imformation is put into one half of chromosome.

biggest problem is that different animals usually dont mate together.

  • When I see a chimp i see so much of most people out there that i think some humans havent evolved past their primal mentality.

  • It should be noted that Ray's banana routine is actually a comedy routine he does. He is an evangelical for sure, but he doesn't actually use the banana bit as serious support of his views. He came up with that as a comedy bit for a speech he was doing for a christian conference. He has since regretted doing it here with Kirk, since it lacked the laughter feedback of the audience demonstrating how this particular bit was tongue in cheek.

  • @ansfrid He was dead serious about the banana argument. It was only after the immense scrutiny he received after he made such a ridiculous argument did he retract his statement.

  • Why in the hell did Ireland and the UK ban this? Is it relative to blasphemy laws or something? I am embarrassed that my ancestors came from there...

  • @Roan7995

Yeah I wonder why as well though not so much about the ancestor thing

  • Watching Ray comfort is painful.

  • Theoretically, can we trough selective breeding, could make humans out of chimps?

  • can we all mate with each other. and this can also add to your quest that if man where created in gods image than why arent there just one type of man but n e ways can u please offer a theory to my question?

  • ok now i have a question that is killing me for years, if the evolution of man is fact lets just say they came out of africa went to different places in the world and adapted to that environment. so you get white people because of the cold and lack of sun environment you get chinese slanted eyes because of sunlight adaption and blacks because of huge amount of sunlight exposure this is seen through their skin melotonin ratio adaption right. ok so if certain people adapted different than why

  • @premium1823

Thanks for posting. If you could, please reply to your previous comment so as to keep the comments in order. Despite our physical differences, each of the human "races" have not been isolated from one another long enough to have developed incompatible genetic information, thus we are all the same species. But this is not the case for horses and zebras. Although genetically similar enough to mate, their offspring itself is infertile -- meaning they are different species.

  • @DiscoveringReligion

the differences between different skinned humans, works just as the differences between dogs, but we were able to travel, to migrate, etc, which makes it quite different than dog races

race is just a marked difference of the SAME SPECIES, which only importance should be at genetical level to determine co-relation with disease and treatment

  • @premium1823 you actually get many of the features we see due to sexual selection, once a trait exists, if it attracts the opposite sex and succeeds better in procreating, that trait becomes prevalent in society. the idea of 'race' is largely a social construct and has no basis in our genes. i couldn't find the rest of your question, I hope this helps

  • That banana proves nothing, he sounds like a total toolbag when he speaks. Why would a banana be an atheists nightmare?

  • I'd like to see Mr.Comfort explain pineapples...

  • This is a wonderful series, simply great. Im glad you're doing it, or did it, as Im still chalking through them all. Its a shame this has not gotten more views, it really deserves it

  • Is this guy seriously trying to tell us that 'God' only made one type of fruit....a banana??? How does he explain coconuts or other fruits or vegetables that were around way back then. This is seriously irrational reasoning

  • @Xeletoph Evolution supports the belief that we came from single celled organisms, and therefore, from atomic particles. The big bang tries to explain where these atomic particles come from. Evolution may not include the big bang theory, but these two tend to go hand in hand as arguments against creationism. You say that God wouldn't hate me for using my brain? Who's to say I am? Scientists have been wrong before. Why not now? Of course, so have creationists (pi, anyone?). Who knows?

  • I used to be a strong Christian but now I can definitely see how Evolution might end up being the case. But there's still something that my Bible teacher says that always stumps me. "If evolution is true, what happened 10 seconds before the big bang?" The same question of "Who made God?" stumps many creationists (despite the answer "God is eternal, no beginning no end" being the popular non-logical response). So personally, I am going to continue studying both sides of the argument.

  • @MistressSerenity Your pasture's question cannot be answered because evolution has NOTHING to do with the big bang theory. Evolution deals with how life became diverse, and has nothing to do with how the universe began. Evolution deals with biology, while the big bang theory deals with cosmology. They're two totally different and unrelated schools of science.

  • @MistressSerenity secondly - you do not have to replace your religion with evolution. It is fully possible to accept that evolution is the truth while believing in god at the same time. It doesn't have to be a trade off, or even a compromise. See, evolution never speaks of religion; the two never touch, and they don't have to.

Keep your god if you want to, but also know that said god would not hate you for using the brain he gave you. A loving god would have to understand.

  • Haha at my Bible study I watched a vid of that Kurt guy testifying.

The Banana theory is outrageous. Seriously, even I knew that bananas don't naturally look like the ones at the store. They have seeds. But still, I think there's nothing wrong with a little Church now and then. Atheists tend to focus on the negative aspects of Christianity (and I trust that there's a whole load of that) but what about the positives? The philanthropy? The morals? (Continued)

  • These two creationists are morons. They sound like they would love to eat a dick in the same way.

  • Has anyone written the producer of these videos, pouring out gratitude for being shown the light? I'm going to guess not many, if any. Religious observance is the ability to overlook the obvious errors or horrors of the doctrine for the benefits of faith. If it feels good to believe in god, heaven, zeus or neptune, then why isn't that ok? Shouldn't we just let people choose? Why not make well-done like these videos explaining the problems associated with a religious based government instead?

  • That banana "theory," while hilarious, is a good example of grown-ups who refuse to grow up. They find red herring, ignorance, superstitions, & other such excuses to sustain their wants & needs to stay child-like, so they could continue to believe magical beings who create things, ideas, fruits, environments, etc. which are just "ideal" as they imagine their imaginary creator must only have done. & if there's something wrong or not fitting, it must be their imaginary Satan's fault. Or Liberals'.

  • Whoa, great pwnage of those Evangelicals. And good use of the 'Lady in the Water' soundtrack in the second half of the video too!

  • SEX

  • Banana: Atheist's nightmare

    Pineapple: Creationist's nightmare?

Wait... blackberries too. Damn those thorns.

Hold on, coconuts as well. No pull tab on those suckers.

Gimme a second... brussels sprouts too. Tastes like death, but is good for you? I'd rather have a tomato, thanks.

One more, I know I got it in me. Crab apples. Who would make something so terrible look so much like something so delicious. If bananas are evidence that god exists, crab apples are evidence that he's a jerk.

  • @TheStann I know! I hate coconuts! They are so hard to open!

  • 8000 years?! Bananas are older then the earth?! :O /sarcasm

  • I have seen a video where Ray admitted to being ignorant about the history of the banana. Great video series!

  • Not true, sometimes my banana's tap smushes the top, no homo. I wonder how many creationists know if humans made modern house dogs by selective breeding of wolves with the help of gene mutations, of course ancient man wouldn't have known but still?

  • its amazing how much Paul Bettany in the movie Creation actually looks like this pic of Darwin 7:09 he was a great cast

  • Hmm, nearly seems like Im watching a documentary here. I guess thats good ? :p

  • I am really enjoying these, you did a great job. I wish people would have to watch these videos. Most people just go about their religion because they have no one questioning it in such a way as this.

  • look at the horses and zebra's, ain't that something. Doesn't that show kirk's ridiculous crocoduck argument?

  • you totally DESTROY mr banana man.

  • @halflifeproductionz Long time ago Matt at the atheist atheist experience show asked about the Coconut, and if that also was proof of Gods design, easy to eat ?

You must see this : watch?v=6kEB7kf6aPA it's the most destruction of the banana story I have seen :-)

  • @ytbabbler haha fucking hilarious, crazy banana lady!

  • My goodness, not that cursed banana video again. It's so embarrassing. I didn't know someone could be so stupid. Does Ray even realize what he's saying?

  • Holy cow!

  • Ray sure knows a lot about phallus shaped objects.

  • Interesting. Really fascinating.

  • Ray comfort seems to forget taht the banana if facing the right direction is perfect for his anus

  • how does this banana nutjob explain the pineapple?

  • Lol at that banana shit hahahaa

  • Thanks for making this series. Although it is not new information, it's still so much fun to listen to. Thank you again!

  • I'd say it's not that they are blatantly lying about the facts, just that creationists have no clue what the facts really are and ultimately back peddle when people point it out to them.

    It's unbelievably sad, but true.

  • Please, your pronunciation of Linnaeus is as fingernails on a chalkboard to my ears. Try this: Lin-a-us.

  • @TeaDbluJay

    LOL, chill...

  • @DiscoveringReligion You did this all by yourself? Great job man. You deserve an Oscar.

  • @TeaDbluJay His real, or swedish name was Karl von Linné. You pronounce it Linn -éé.

  • LOL The banana explanation is hardly an atheist's worst nightmare - it's our idea of humour. :D "Ease of entry" Oh man, that's just wrong. :P Good point about the wild banana DiscoveringReligion - this is the most feeble and laughable creationist propaganda I've seen in ages.

  • Those cows were fucking UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i had studi most of all this but the way u put it makes it easy to understand u great

  • The Penis is also curved toward the mouth, the hand fits around it, but you oppose touching it

  • @Paulwhoisvegan LOL. That occured to me as well. :D

  • haha this is so funny look at that cunt's face with that banana

  • As long as we have guys like Ray Comfort we should not worry:-)

  • 5 stars and favorite for banana!

Excellent series by the way! I am loving it so far.

  • haha sooo good. Love the picture of Cameron.

  • Go Darwin! It's interesting to point out that Darwin was not the only, nor even the first scientist to promote the idea of Evolution. Many naturalists noted an apparent change in structure between similar species. Darwin's contribution is the theory of Natural Selection, the survival and disproportionate propagation of those individuals most suited to their environments. At the time, Darwin knew nothing of genetics, yet in hindsight, genetic research has agreed with his hypothesis.
