He asked permission to have her walk with him while he signed autographs introducing his friend Megan to all who came up to him. I work with suicidal youth, some as young as 12. Most are gay Christians who have been ostracised by their church, youth group, school [teachers always seem to never be there when these youth are being bullied] and, some unfortunately, their family. My kids have cut their throat, set themself on fire, hanged themself, going to jump off a cliff ...These fundy Christians say they want to save their soul from hellfire and they feel they are doing God's will. Dist. 31 senator Pam Roach doesn't care.

I was on the bus home one day looking through all of my Peter, Paul, and Mary songs. This song started, and I thought the begining sounded pretty, so I let it keep playing. The words started. I cried. I had to turn my head so no one on the bus could see. I cried for the people who really have this. I cried for myself, because some days I know what this song means. I cry for everyone.
