Agreed, for me it's all about the flow. Economy of movement is where it's at, like that slide down the escalator. Sure anyone can do it, sure it would have looked cooler if he was cartwheeling down it while set on fire, but that's not the point. This explains the aesthetics often seen in free running. Parkour is what you would use to get out of a dangerous situation. When I practice and mess around, I do free running. When I am running from a pissed off security guard, I do parkour.

Sebastian and David both founded Parkour, freerunning is something that derived from it later, I suppose you can call it an evolution.

everybody here is pretty much right sebastian did not create parkour but he is the co-founder and so was david belle neither of them created a name was just given to it but sebastian did create freerunning though that is his specialty
