  • Well kingbitch prove me wrong then. Plus I own a 07 STi (bought it new) and I've been doing a lot of research on the DCCD since I've had it. That would be 3 years just incase you can't count.

  • it's 2009 now. if you bought your car in '07 that makes 2 years incase you can't count.

It would be 3 years if you bought it in late 06.

research versus using are 2 different things.

  • Go go scandinavian flick!! Woo hoo

  • DRIVER GOT BARS DRIVING SKILLS

  • y on earth would u buy one of those wrx's, they are dog ugly man. get on the impreza 22b train

  • Anyone who knows anything about driving should be able to tell that the driver is really, really good.

  • Yeah, Agreed. He's Really good.

  • No joke! He's basically drifting an AWD car... Impressive!

  • an AWD car with DCCD so he can put most of the power to the rear wheels, it aint that hard..

  • That's a MYTH. DCCD doesn't send power front to rear... it only varies the amount of lock-up in the center diff. For a few years, the STI had a rear-biased center diff that would vary torque front and rear based on the amount of lockup.. but it was only a very minor side effect. The STI has had a 50/50 center diff since '06.

  • Thats NOT the way DCCD works.

  • what the fuck wud you know you cock sucker

  • stock AWD at that!!!

  • donuts?? how about figure 8's??

  • i was just saying "this dude is NOT doing donuts"

  • how come asain people drive so good?? i no some dont but thats just the ones that come to america and try to drive for the first time

  • thats not donuts, its drifting

  • until the end .. then it's donuts ;)

  • I'm sure that a rally driver knows better than you.

  • Is that stock?

  • i'm about to buy one of these, but those aren't donuts.

  • They are not shit.

Agreed they are as aesthetically pleasing as previous models, but in a race these will wave bye bye to the old ones. Period.

I work in a Subaru dealership and i can tell you for a fact these out perform the older models, especially the new 330s

  • It actually does better on tsukuba than the evo x mr + evo IX and the 07 spec c STi...

I think you dont have a clue what your talking about

  • awesome power, but its not donuts till the end

    :(

  • ugly car

  • it understeers way too much

  • No it doesn't, are we watching the same video here?

  • Don't understand why they went to hatchback. Still just mind boggled. I own an 06 wrx and I think that style is the best. 06-07 are great styles and perform awesome. i have yet to ride in an 08, but i don't see how it could make a difference in traction or whatever by changing the style to a hatchback. bah. makes me upset.

  • better for rally i think...if im not wrong 08 STI was design by Petter Solberg. Well i think the hawkeye subaru was the best looking and tuners choice. Well for me any STI i could afford would be great. I only have the MY08 1.5 hatch.

  • Yup, sadly Subaru dropped out of WRC for the 09 season and until further notice.

  • Because the design allows for improvement in aerodynamics and a a shorter and thereby more balanced vehicle. Subaru was getting spanked in rally by hatchbacks and they had to make the leap. Watch a few comparison videos by automotive mags, there are plenty from respected sources and the new one outperforms in every way.

  • I head Subaru will no longer be doing rally. Maybe they will go back to coupes now?

  • Actually I think they are planning to go into it full force now hence the redesign.

  • subaru announced that it will no longer be fielding a corporate team, in the wrc, last week.

  • I feel where you are coming from my friend, but i think the My99 shape is the best still.

I had an MY99 in auto (gay but it was cheap and low km's), I had an my03 best performer so far, and now got a my08 normal rexy.. its easilt the shittest in a straight line around corners and a straight line, but its comfort almost (almost!!) like a golf gti.. I like it's direction.

  • How can they go from the best looking car in 07 to that gastly thing they call the 08 sti

  • The TORSEN rear LSD isn't as good as the CLUTCH type that used to be back there. The CLUTCH type allows lockup thus enabling BOTH rear wheels to slip. This allows you to power oversteer better and do donuts like RWD.

  • well seen it probaly isnt his car lol

  • it does look uglier in my opinion, but everything is much more advanced on the 08 than the 07, even tho I'd probably get an 07 anyday

  • It's really a hard job to make a 4x4 do that sort of tricks. Maybe the handling is less because it has a shorter weelbase, correct me if I'm wrong! I really think Sub's are very nice cars but the brakes need some attention directly after buying :P I.m still thinking off buying one!

  • the breaks are MUCH better in the 08 and up versions

  • There isn't a single difference.

  • It really looked like he was fighting the car to get it to do that stuff.

  • Off course. This car is made for grip. The more gas in the corners the more it would stick on the road.

  • Yeah, but so were the previous years. And from the reviews that I've seen, it doesn't really handle any better than say the 07/06. And once the back end is out, the more gas you give it, the more it should slide since your momentum has already shifted.

  • i have an 08 sti and i still havent been able to force the back end out, except on dirt

  • Do you have traction control OFF (yellow icon)? I have no problem getting my 08 STi sideways...

  • damn, wish i had a dif control=(

  • over glorified station wagon look at my vid response now thats a real sti

  • that guy can do some donuts. that new body style is growing on everyone i think. It just took some time

  • Yeah I know rite but its kinda pricey doe u think?

  • Nice display. I still like my STI swapped GC8 better:)

  • Im starting too like those new one,,08 STi

  • I would go with something like mine 04 silver blacked out

  • NOW that's how an STi likes to be driven!

looks like a lot of fun, but I would only think of trying that on wet surface with my 04STi... and urbankid21 get the 08 black with gold rims = puuuure sex!!

don't be tryin this tho!! the guy driving in this vid is HIGHLY skilled!

  • he's skilled?? really?? i had no idea haha, just playin

  • Very nice driving looks like fun. Urbankid: don't get an 08. 04/05 man. Much better year. If you have to though, go with black and gold rims.

  • nice, im getting mine in a couple of months, dont kno either to get blue on black or white on gold, which one people???

  • black on black

  • Nah, Subaru Rally Blue with bronze BBSs. The only way to go.

  • Wicked! i love the new car!

  • maybe because they are a rally team and the only thing thats going to remain stock on it is the actual body.

  • just coz u cant do what he can no need to be jealous this way ... now go jump off a bridge pls

  • awsome

  • reason people buy impreza!!

  • i wonder how he got those wheels on it, they only sell the gold ones with the rally blue.

  • Most wheels come with lugs, usually you can take the wheels off and you know, put different ones on.

    ;)

  • AHAHA lmao!

  • gary you twat. BTW cut your hair!!

  • you know you can ask them to change the wheels when you buy it or ask to buy an extras set in silver and put on yourself lol

  • Thats pretty sweet.

  • yep, subaru for life m8
