  • I am currently working on my own

  • engine shemat on imagesheck?

  • can I pay you for one of these kits??? this is AMAZING!

  • @crottc I sell those on the LPEpower home page, so yes, you can. :)

  • VTEC just kicked in yo!!!

press 4 for pure vtec action!

  • how do they prevent the heat build up and the pieces melting?

  • @r3volu7ion What heat? There's no heat buildup, and everything is lubricated.

  • @nicjasno no matter how lubricated it is, there will always be friction, and from friction results heat

  • @stripdudex2 Sure, but lego has little friction to begin with, and the heat that is produced is negligeble. Everything is cold to the touch, even after prolonged running. The expanding air in the pistons just ads even more cooling.

  • bhp at the fly wheel?

  • @psyc20 More than a Honda most likely.

  • If you could harness this power, you could build one hell of a masturbation machine

  • whats that thing attached to it by a wire?

  • @Charizardforever1384 looks like an rpm meter and if ur talkng about the other thing its air

  • superb

  • My new way to jack off.

  • does the engine become hot when you touch it?

  • @djaysenpai It doesn't heat up at all.

  • NICe!

  • REALLY NICE!!! please send a building instruktion

  • Diesel :-)

  • kan you sand mi a building instrucktion for this engen

  • kan jou sand mi a building instrucktion for this engen

  • how much horsepower here?

  • What I want to know is, HOW DID I GET HERE???

  • add a turbo... shure it won't work but just for fun and for the sound and when you take away the air there is the typical overblow sound...that would be cool.

  • Wow. If I could make that I would put it in a small Lego car. Lol!

  • Imagine a piece flies out. LOL

  • sound like a diesel :)

  • how does it work?

  • Now put it into a Lego Bus :D

  • Sounds really realistic :D

  • i dare you to put your finger in it

  • it sounds like Excitebike for the NES lol

  • at 0:40 it sound realy like a scania V8

  • U need some oil )

  • Were did u get it

  • @6tothemax I made it myself.

  • very cool

  • sounds like a scania V8 at idle, its like 1 to 1

  • for what i can use that and is that on batery or something?

  • @robotman359 check out his mustang. and no, this runs on air

  • sounds like a detroit diesel, sweet!

  • cool I like to build one that runs as smoth as that cool video I have built one and had to put oil on it because the first one just wore out the plastic like real fast. again great video. need to put a how to vidoe of building it.

  • Make an I8 and an I6

  • Mmm... Sounds like a Detroit Diesel to me. Nice :D

  • It´s CRAZY!!!!! =P

  • now make a lamborgini.. and a V16! :DD

  • tell me where can i buy the parts?!

  • @brokenbutterfly8 you can buy some pre made engines from memory of the LPE website

  • How many psi are you running it at?

  • great engine

  • Sound likes a Mercedes Truck

  • This is what a cars engine does while idling

  • Even though it takes a long time to build these... I want to see some videos of one being run until it flies apart or otherwise quits :)

  • why doesnt the moter industry make a eco car that runs on compressed air instead of gasoline?

  • @motoxdady cause you need a place to compress the air, and for that you need electricity, so you would need lots of energy and the compressor itself would make a lot of noise

  • @motoxdady

Because they are not efficient enough. Think about how irritating it would be to need to get air every five minutes,

  • where do u get the tach

  • i love the sound it makes. reminds me of an 18 wheeler or a tractor

  • why the hell did they stop making these

  • where did you get the pneumatic parts man its really cool!!!!!

  • i want to see this in a car

  • k3bab: maybe the general lee but more or less a boss 429

  • dude this sounds like a fucking non-turbo deisle :DDDDDDDDDDD...and it soudned just like one while it was idleing epic >:DD

  • @POPCORN454545 do u even have one to say that

  • @TheMasonpants ummm....lol....i dont have one in my house..d3rp..but ive heard lots before....and i can say what i want....im here to share my opinion and comment on the video....as is everybody else...

  • @POPCORN454545 I thought it sounded like a diesel V8 also!

  • @gavquinn Yep :D

  • i want to buy it but is it cost 300. thats is to mach. and i have no compressor. maby you can build the v8 with pumps and put the presure of the v8 with pumps on te v8 with cylinders and put than the v8 with cylinders with a flywheel on the v8 with pumps. if you want to go faster hold the flywheel and when you go slower than release the flyweel. if it works let my now. maby i buy.

srry for my bad english. bye

  • Now you just need to build a Dodge Charger

  • @k3bab Too bad Dodge SUCKS.

  • Is it possible to power these things with butane bottles? the blow torch ones?

Just so i can make them more portable then relying on a huge compressor.

  • @Naturepheonix aaam.

    wich type?

but i hope the empty ones

    but yes it work!

i use an old campinggas bottle with the ventile on the connector

but you can also use these without ventile

  • @web1bastler The refill types, not the tank types, the refill ones are small enough for portability. The camping ones are too fat and heavy for the car I think. On top of that, just plugging the lego hose onto the bottle's tip is useless cause you can push it down for constant insert of gas. So I am having problems with the control connector between bottle and hose.

  • how much hp it pulls?

  • ok thats a great engine and in the 40 to 50 second time frame sounds like a diesel v8. but... in the automatic 3 speed transmission vid the gear change sucks. you gotta put a manual on there man.. just like legomaniacman. then you got it done!

  • @MBLproductions1169 yea dude i agree put a five speed on there! lol

  • idk why the 1580 rpm makes me think of someone stiking its finger in there........

  • Also, I forgot, this is actually V4 engine because the cylinders are parallel. So 1+1 cylinder is acting just like one a little bigger cyl. It does not mather that there are 8 cyl.

  • 5 stars to this man... I am really impressed and I would like to have one. As I can't find any purpose for buying it, for now, I will let it to stay in "I would like to have one". No purpose except playing with it. But excellent work. BTW sound is very good! 5 stars for recording it, too.

  • What type of lego set did you use? ;]

  • 0:41 - 0:49 - It remembers me a Mercedes-Benz OC500 V8 engine...

  • THIS IS YOUR JOB?! ....

    AWESOME!!!

  • i think its not so good for your legos

  • @yorrickwi You just think. The reality is, that there is no damage to the parts whatsoever. Even after extensive running, the parts still look like new. They have to be lubed with silicon lubricant of course.

  • @nicjasno ok

  • So beautiful :)

  • ale chodzi ;)

  • its a 1 stroke engine, thats why its so powahful

  • or it comes for 300 euro with air compresor?

  • wtf 300 euro for this? no shit

  • that's basically just a v4...

  • @bignut4567 No! There are 8 cylinders. V8, not a V4.

  • Doesent it get very hot because of friction

  • @Fou3Fan Not at all.

  • it kinda sounds like a Cat. Diesel....

  • holy crap!!

I want to put this tiny lego engine into my car, it'll be a lot faster!!

  • HOw can a lego motor sound so damn fuckin cool? :D THAT LIL SHIT THING SOUND BETTA THEN MY CAR!! -.-

  • is this compressed air?

  • @br0productions Yes it is.

  • This engine sucks. Don't even buy one! I'm surprised that they can make anything this shitty look this good..

  • @MrKaddan Come up with a better engine, that can also pull 5kg+ lego cars, and we can talk.

  • hey nice engine can you make a video of how you build it?

  • i have recreated this engine and am now waiting for cylinders off bricklink, nicjasno - if i can so easily make it. prehaps blur out mechanisms? because i know your inline 3 has allready been pirated :/

  • can u put a tut it sounds really coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooollll

  • the sound is amazing!!

  • sounds freakin cool!!!!!

  • im gonna put this in my car

  • diesel sounding ftw

  • does it only have 4 valves?

  • @Savageowner610 no, 8

  • @LifeRunner4000 Actually, there is only 4

  • sweet!!!!! sounds realy good

  • is there lubrication on that thing?

  • @tortillaandbeans Silicon spray lubricant.

  • Brilliant. Do you know the catalogue number or have instructions? Did you build this yourself?

  • man this is brilliant and it sounds like a real engine. that's 5 star.

  • where did you shop this engine?

  • that thing is gonna melt

  • this engine sucks. Don't buy it.

  • that would be awesome if cars ran off of compressed air, cuz something like that would regulate the flow of air as well as convert it to movement

  • how do you make this shit, what parts. its been a while since i last built shit with my legos..

  • now just put inside a lego car and turn a little key on the inside and it does that haha

  • what is making it turn? an electric motor or compressed air

  • @armetron compressed air.

  • it need Vtec

  • Scania V8

  • Des this even need a fly wheel?

  • how did you do that

  • I understand that the parts are modified, but why the hell are no building plans available for free?

Would you be so kind and send me some?

  • I'm trying to ge the money together to buy this thing. But what would you need to get it running exactually? Cause that is freaking amazing!

  • @InsanityRewritten You just need a source of compressed gas.

  • cool engine

  • Great! But one question...: Does it had to be lubricated somehow? Or was it running without any drops of oil at the working parts?

  • @LennyTheDoc It needs some silicon spray lubricant from time to time.

  • love this! what his powered by? battery? or... how tht work?

  • @futurekill2022 as it says in the title, it's a pneumatic engine. Which means it's powered by compressed air.

  • @nicjasno oh wow tht awesome... srry i didnt know wht pneumatic mean..

  • Awesome, now put a saw on that and mount it on ur arm

  • WOW!!!!

  • is this the new hybrid?

  • :38 sounds like a 7.3 litre turbo diesel

  • its not 1500 rpm its a SCALED 1500 rpm

  • @DustinPedroia2008MVP It's quite real and genuine 1500 rpms.

  • @nicjasno are you blind look at it if it was 1500 rpm then thats 25 rotations a second

  • @DustinPedroia2008MVP what point are you trying to make?

  • @nicjasno people are too impressed its like 120 rpm but like a 1-12th scale so don't say "Wow this is amazing how is it possible that such a small lego engine could go 1500 rpm" cause its not

  • @DustinPedroia2008MVP The engine crankshaft rotates 1500 times per minute. It doesn't matter how big the engine is (8liters or just a few cubic centimeters). If you would scale the thing, then a real life counterpart 1:1 would have to spin about 5x faster (if we assume that the engine is in an approximate 1:5 scale. Which means a 1:1 engine would rotate 7500 rpms.

  • @DustinPedroia2008MVP But i agree, 1500 rpms sin't that impressive. I had engines running more than 4000 rpms on my desk.

  • @nicjasno this isn't 1500 rpm

  • @nicjasno you can THINK what you want to think and i will KNOW what I want to know

  • @DustinPedroia2008MVP I don't say this often, but i hate trolls like you.

  • @nicjasno get a life i'm a kid that has alot of time on his hands and even i can see this isn't 1500 rpm and your an adult so get a life and stop bugging people on the internet

  • @DustinPedroia2008MVP If you have a lot of time on your hands, build the simplest lego pneumatic engine, and count the rotations in a minute. Then compare to this, and you will see that the rpms are real. They are measured with a lego speed computer, which is not entirely accrate (especially since it measures in 20 rpm increments), but is acurate enough for this debate. At the begining of the video the engine runs very slow (40-120rpms), so you can see and hear how 120 rpms looks like.

  • @nicjasno whatever i don't have time for you

  • Great job!

  • whare you get the RPM thing?

  • could any one estimate how much a lego v8 wud cost sum 1 like me

  • sounds like a big block chevy.

  • Comment removed

  • This engine is very impressive.

The only thing I wondered about LPEs is 'How long they last". I mean at theese high RPMs friction causes a lot of heat (even if its lubricated), and that heat is not that good for LEGO...

May I ask how long this engine could be used continously? Could you estimate a lifetime?

    Ty!

  • Read below...

  • @nicjasno

Sry for posting twice, it didn't show that the first one was succesfully posted, could be removed.

  • This engine is very impressive.

The only thing I wondered about LPE-s is how long they can "last". I mean at theese high RPMs, the friction must be causing a lot of heat (even if it's lubricated), and heat is not that good for LEGO...

May I ask, how long this motor could be used continously? Could you estimate a lifetime at "normal" use?

    Ty

  • Very long. There is no heat. No idea why people assume that. The expanding air actually cools the engine and it's cold to the touch after running.

We tested the engine for a long time, even in the very heavy mystang test car, running around in the yard, and there were no issues whatsoever. Engine still ran and performed like new. After dissasembly no wear signs were visible.

  • @nicjasno

Oh well, I haven't thougt about expanding cools it.

So I can just tell, its a pretty good job.

  • @HUNLac5 the piston shouldn't get to hot, since there is a continues flow of air

  • nice its souds like a diesel truck engine

  • Can you order this with instructions so you can build it yourself?

  • No instructions, sorry.

  • good man, it always annoys me when people cant use their own ingenuity to work out how to build stuff out of lego... it seems to rather defy the point if one has instructions... very nice v8 btw, i could never get my 2 cylinder engines up past about 900rpm even with the cylinder and valve mods... i think it was just the lack of proper cams and a piston or two...

  • put that into a rc car and that would be fuckin sweet

  • thats not 15,00 rpms are you guys that gullable

  • It is 1500 rpms. Later versions are even slightly faster.

  • @nicjasno are you blind!? ITS NOT 1500 RPM

  • Ok, it's 1580 rpms, but i prefer to use an average. SOme of the engines make 1540 rpms, some do 1680 rpms. It depends on the precise quality of the switch modification, the batch of cylinders, the precise bending of the tubing.... but 1500 rpms is the number we advertise.

  • @DustinPedroia2008MVP

hahahahaha.... man it is 1500 RPM. Maybe You think it is not 15 000 RPM but it is 1500! Also smaller engines are able to run much faster than big engines... maybe LEGO engine can not run 10 000 RPM but You can take a look at engines used in aero modelling. They are small but can run up to 36 000 RPM! Pretty fast ha? Anyway, scaled or not scaled that little wheel makes 1500 rotations in a minute!

  • awesom i wont to make one like yours

  • how do i get a lego tack
