@bassline20 your hope is based on the presumption there is something to fear in death. Yes. As far as deducible in the physical form (which is anything measurable.. which is pretty much everything that exists) when you die the body decomposes, the experience made possible through the brain stops working, and there is no longer a 'person' there but a mass of matter that used to be living. Like a tree that was cut from its roots.
@sweetpromise4real The reason why I would rather not draw conclusions on it is because there is so much missing information. People who believe stuff most of the time try to say they have the truth to the big picture with only 3 peices to a 9000 peice puzzle. Its arrogant and pompus to think think anyone has the ultimate truth. If anything, people with unibased knowledge and assumptions would have a 'clearer picture', but not perfect. Isn't this obvious? does NO ONE THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS??
@sweetpromise4real WHY is nearly evvvverrrryyonneee always asking what I believe? Or assuming that there is something that I believe? Does it EVER occur to anyone that there isn't ANYTHING anyone could believe? Its more like assuming, or leaning on assumptions.
NO, I don't believe the bible. I don't believe science either. I don't even believe the thoughts in my head. I only rely on what is consistent and most probable. The bible is one of those things I would rather not draw conclusions on.
@sweetpromise4 I think jesus was an alien. Or has something to do with extra terrestrials. I think thats the underlying explanation of the supernatural things we see in the bible. Revelations 4:3-6 - go read it and draw what you read. After Jesus' raises from the dead and talks to his disciples, whats the last thing that happens to him? And the similarities of zen perception and Jesus is incredible. I've been in the trenches of both.
@graffist448 You think God was an alien? Umm. Genesis 1:27, "So God created man in His OWN image; in the image of God he created him; male and female He created them". So, if you believe Jesus was an alien, that means we must be aliens as well! Go figure!
@graffist448 well....he's definately not...of this world but, i wouldn't call him an alien he's your creator, the bible says through him all things were created....so you believe some of the bible?
religious people = people ruled by fear - thats why they are hard to get through to, despite being totally wrong. Until they chose to face their fear they will always live in paradox.
Humans come from fish... born of the primordial soup. Humans come from apes... the genetic sequence but one off. Humans are from space.... it is the star dust in each of us! Humans can really only pretend to know much about such things... you see, no body was able to discern the truth way back when, and they still are not able!! That is why the Bible infers things in a way we can grasp in the spiritual sense! Man's wisdom is folly.... and fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom!
The Evidence for Evolution series is supposed to be viewed in its entirety. In other words, this video sets up later videos to show evidence for evolution. I'm just taking the viewers through each step of sound, well documented, unambiguous evidence that together demonstrate how evolution is happening. In other words: polyploidy allows for evolution to occur.
now, obviously i dont know everything. and no one really does. but scientists are trying to know more. and of course science will not always be right. anyday now, something new may be discovered that changes everything we learned in school.
but personalllly, i think there is SOME truth in evolution. micro evolution. not macroevolution. i do believe that animals evolve and adapt to make themselves more equipped to live, but i seriously dont think we came from monkeys. theres jus not enuf evidenc
Yes, science does change. But, there is a pattern in which science changes. First everyone thought the earth was flat. Then we thought it was spherical. Now we say it is an oblate spheroid. But, saying that it's spherical is LESS WRONG than saying it is flat. See? Science converges on reality as time goes by.
We did not come from monkeys. We have a common ancestor with monkeys. If you accept that micro evolution happens, then macro evolution follows.
@smaakjeksYOU ARE SO IGNORANT.........................EVOLUTION CAN MAKE ALL THE SENSE IN THE WORLD...........AND EXPLAIN EVERYTHING..........EXCEPT FOR HOW LIFE BEGAN!!..........EVOLUTIONIST SAY "THE BIG BANG STARTED LIFE" THAT IS SOOOOOO FULL OF SHIT...........HOW CAN NON LIVING THINGS SMASH AN FORM CELLS AND TISSUES AND ORGANISMS.............AHAHAH U STUPID PEOPLE!!
Evolution only concerns the diversity of life. No credible biologist has ever said that it explains the origins of life, nor that the Big Bang directly caused life to start -- just like the theory of relativity does not explain it. The origins of life is what abiogenesis is all about.
@bigbadandready Um. "Non living things smash and form cells and tissues and organisms"... um yeah. Not quite how evolutionists suggest it. How about you take an introductory biology course at university and then talk about the "Big Bang Theory". That is, if any university will accept you...
First I'd like to say everyone is entitled to their own ideas, opinions and beliefs. My belief is that evolution, no matter how 'big bang' man thinks it is, is incredibly small compared to the most Intelligent Designer (ie. God). Humility goes a long way. Sometimes people are so smart they outsmart themselves. The magnitude of all things being in this galaxy and others we are not so high and mighty to discredit the possibility of any combination of explainations.
Of course you are entitled to your own beliefs. No reasonable person would deny you that. The point of making videos like mine are to make people aware of the SCIENCE on the matter. If you reject science as the best method for understanding the world, then feel free. Enjoy living in the dark ages.
If you think science is great for everything EXCEPT when it comes to evolution, you're a hypocrite (not saying YOU are).
Humility does go a long way, I agree. Most creationists think they know better than the collective minds of the planet's scientists, despite barely knowing anything of the literature on evolution. Now THAT is arrogance. If anything, science is the method that does teach intellectual humility. A credible scientists will, for example, never say "I KNOW this is 100% true". (S)he should also always be ready to be convinced if presented with falsifying evidence.
@smaakjeks i've been a bio studend for 7 years....when ever we do evolution WHICH WE DO IN DEPTH it DOESNT MAKE SENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! i would rather humble my self and give props to a greater creator (God) than believe that crap......god explains how life began EVOLUTION DOESNT I AINT FROM NO DAMN APE!!!
Polyploidy does not amount to evidence for the Darwinian proposition; the creationists are in err when they articulate that new information cannot arise.
Please explain how polyploidy does not amount to evidence for evolution. It doesn't really help me if you just tell me "nah, it ain't evidence" and leave it at that. If I'm wrong, I'd like to be corrected.
Yes I do feel sorry for the poor little creationists, which is why I'm not a creationist. I'm a biochemistry student that happens to be also an intelligent design advocate, but I am definitely not a creationist, and I fully am aware the polyploidy, exon-intron gene linkage structure all generate novel information; and the amoeba also refutes the creationist contention.
Nope, that's not entirely true. Creationism specifically states some 'God' created everything, while intelligent design merely states that an intelligent designer is a more adequate explanation for various aspects of life.
Intelligent design is not creationism anymore than anthropology.
Sigh. Look up the Kitzmiller trial. Creationists no longer found their lable viable in school curriculum because of the whole freedom from religion stuff. They therefore invented the lable ID. Whether you subscribe to their agenda or not ID was a relabling of creationists that the creationists themselves invented. It's not MY fault you choose to categorize yourself under that lable.
I have plans to reupload these older videos since the max resolution is SO much higher than it used to be. People are also complaining about the small text :D
I'll probably redo them altogether and just use perdy pictures (and maybe graphs) as I explain, rather than having just slabs of text to wade through.
let's forget all this name-calling & personal opinions; would you evolutionists pls. cite, if any (you shouldn't have trouble quoting many) actual current scientific? projects, doctors/scientists, journals/papers (Nature magz, Scientific American, etc.) , published works, etc (cosmologists, molecular biologists, palaeontologists, physicists, astronomers, bio-chemists, etc. that actually back each other up) to once-and-for-all silence the deafeaning flaws & weakness in evolutionary theory?!??!
let's see if an ignorant person can define your KIND. KIND= A specific form of biological life, e.g., a human, fly, frog, which remains the same throughout its development and whose dna and rna remains the same, and whose dna and rna already contains predisposed characteristics to survive environmental changes, ie, food sources, weather changes, and whose dna and rna will not permit external forces, such as introduced dna or rna , to modify its original development or dna/rna. lol
Oh. In that case there are no kinds on earth. All populations of organisms on earth go through change in the gene pool. New mutations with novel functions also occur in Earth's populations, a few of which are benefitial.
btw ... i believe in evolution, but somewhere along the line in the evolution scale... there was a huge jump in progress and that jump happened almost overnight in terms of evolutionary scale.
"btw ... i believe in evolution, but somewhere along the line in the evolution scale... there was a huge jump in progress and that jump happened almost overnight in terms of evolutionary scale."
You're not alone. Many have wondered over the sheer magnitude of change a seemingly insignificant alteration in the genetic code could do to produce a species like us. Our ingenuity, our accomplishments, our art... All rooted in 2.5% change in the genome. It's truly remarkable.
Explain the missing link. Why are we as homosapiens, missing 2 chromosones from our so called ancestors, apes? how do 2 chromosones dissapear? Why if we evolved from apes, are there still apes?
"Explain the missing link. Why are we as homosapiens, missing 2 chromosones from our so called ancestors, apes?"
At some point two chromosomes fused together into one in a population that was reproductively isolated from the other ancestors. That chromosome has been identified and there is no doubt that it is a fusing of two chromosomes still found in our fellow apes.
"Why if we evolved from apes, are there still apes?"
