HAs anybody ever seen a simulator that simulateas wind pressure. I always thought that would be a cool idea. YOu could mount a model aircraft in a windtunnel and perhaps even have movable flight control surfaces with 500mph winds
i have flown on alot of airplanes and i still don't like them. deep down not many people trust them either. i want to see highspeed magnetic rail between all "major cities" that would rival the speed of an airliner. think of how many people could be transported at one time. more than you could fit on an airliner i know that.
why if it is a Fly By Wire aircraft, the two yokes moves together, as well as the throttle control moves as the aircraft increase or decrease power (in the autothrust mode)???
what if I'm banking in more than 30 deegres and I don't let the yokes to correct the bank angle??
The B787 has the same technology as the A330/A340, which are about 15 years older. The A380 is a generation ahead of the Dreamliner yet it was developed about 6-7 years ago. If you think about it, the B787 was developed during 06-08 and flew late 09, so wouldn't you think that the plane of the future would be the A350, which is being developed right now? Think how far aviation technology has come in 10 years... The B787 is just an A330 with a HUD and an updated B777 EFB. Wake up Boeing!!!
@DCDigitalStudios Sources: Pilots who have flown the A330/A340 and B777 for airlines that have the B787 on order - including my Uncle and Grandfather.
Other Sources: Common knowledge you douchebag, and the knowledge of people that aren't won over in 10 seconds by Boeing's fancy advertising - like you are. Wow - the B787 has large screens that can share information and engines with a zig-zag pattern on the rear of the nacelle - who cares?
@scanmannz yet the interior is much nicer and the materials the 787 is made out of...well, no one has ever made a plane out of them before, not even the new 747 will be made of it. Anyone who says the 787 isn't a piece of engineering is kidding themselves.
@KarljRobot the 787 is 50% composites, 20% titanium and the rest is aluminum and steel and others. The A380 is 20% composites, 20ish% GLARE, 50% titanuim/aluminium/carbon fibre/fibreglass and about 10% steel. It's certainly been done before. And the interior is only slightly more spacious - the overhead bins are more streamlined and the windows are bigger - yep......much nicer.....
@ People complaining about automatic piloting, saying "all is auto now, no more aviation, blablabla.." - If you don't like progress, if you want to fly manually, to hold the yoke during 5hrs, to fly with a paper map and to check 40 clock faces: STOP complaining about it everywhere and go fly Buffalo in Canada, or DC3's in South America and let me more opportunities to realize my dream.
To be an airline pilot today, you have to be fascinated by the flying systems OF TODAY.
Love how he's amazed that the aircraft reacts when he exceeds 30 degree's of bank, reacts like this is the first aircraft with this this safety feature. Hmmm airbus invented that nearly 3 decades ago. :)
@GamePlayPower Microsoft Flight Simulator is not certified for flight training. But X-Plane is certified by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). And this pretty much looks like X-Plane. I guess some full motion simulators but also fixed base simulators are based on the FAA certified X-Plane these days.

"It turns by itself and gets you back below 30 degrees of bank"
WONDERFUL, BUT AIRBUS IS DOING THAT FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS ON THE A320!

@Goncalo792 yeah...making pilots lazier...thanks airbus.
note: I don't actually believe that it's making pilots lazier, this is just satire.
